I had forgotten the feeling of playing a good, new game. Until now.

January 12, 2007 at 5:17 am #15358Lui_BeiParticipantIndeed. I have been a big time fan of all things rpg since ff on nes back in the 80’s. I rocked a little known title called Ghengis Khan on the nes. Destiny of an emperor was a pain in my ass, but I picked up dynasty warriors 3 and every romance of the three kingdoms title I could find. The final fantasy for me was 1 – 2 – 3 & tactics, the rest were for someone other than me. Suikoden had me at hello, I got through 2 next but never repeated it like I did with #1. Then there was Suikoden 3… who the hell invited the talking duck? I was honestly so pissed about it that I sold it to eb games for 35$ AND skipped Suikoden 4 for good measure!
Along came V.
…and my wife hasn’t had a complete conversation with me since!
19:52:04, omw to Lordlake with a fancy new "Hamedo Army", a Fresh Dawn Rune on my arm, and Lord Yuan Shu to guide me.
Thank you m’lord;

Nice to have you, Lui.
Those are some good games you mention, although I haven’t played Genghis Khan much. Nice to hear you’re having relationship problems over Suikoden V, I just finished up a 150 hour quest on FF12 so I know how that goes.
You’re at a pretty fun part in Suikoden V, I must say. Hope all goes well.

those are not typo’s he actually said that… crazy bastard.
Hey I know its has been a long time since you played suiki V, but what would have happened if i would have hit a button while he was slow talking? I didn’t have the nerve to try it, as my gaming time is limited.
( I actually have an agreement with myself and my wife that for every one hour of playing time I must work out for 10 min, so that usually means 20 for 2 hours, plus I work 10 hour days…heh, so trying out bad endings and such is i’ll advised)

January 13, 2007 at 3:33 am #15361NiahakModeratorSuiko V is good. I also enjoyed III. Sgt. Joe was a bit of a surprise, but once you get past the new duck and lizard races it’s pretty enjoyable.
I believe if you skip that guy’s slow-talking, he gets angry with you and refuses to join. I don’t know if you get a second chance.
