Rage ring makes Umaro a BEAST. His attacks change to where he can charge enemies or even throw one of your other party members into enemies for big damage. Both of those attacks give 9999 damage when he hits level 65 or so I think.

He rams people even w/out the rage ring. It's better to equip him w/ black belt + gauntlet or when he's high level, black belt + blizzard orb (unless fighting an enemy that absorbs ice, which isnt that many, it totally PWNS in the dinosaur forest)
Snow Muffler = ALMOST 200+ defense instantly but you have to earn it in the arena. Combined w/ other gear, dinosaurs only do 1 dmg.
Cursed Shield on Locke lets you continue the game and still use a useful character to steal with which I use all the time to get the advanced gears/weapons to wager in the arena for Genji Gear/Exp eggs/Force Gear/ Red Jackets/etc.
Looks like we have some discrepancy on the effects of the Rage Ring huohu After some research, it just seems to do the character-toss as a special effect. One thing I like about Umaro and Gau when they are in their Rages, they attack automatically when their turn is up. So that lessens the micro-managing load on you and also enables them to act faster. And obviously his strength is always above average(despite being able to equip Espers to enhance his natural stats).

I think I just get tired of having to use him so much early on in the game (though he is one of the last guys you regain in the 2nd world).

I'm 32; keep in mind that a millennia ago, women my age — assuming they were still alive, of course — were often grandparents.
That said, most people had not one or two parents younger than me. Unlike LYS, though, I have no children.
And yeah, the cursed shield begs for a ribbon.
This thread gave me a new idea for a mod section…
