So I was curious about how many people might be on these boards, since there are usually only about 10 or so people that come here, and I was just wondering how many people were registered. I figured it might be something like 200 or so, given these boards have been around for 5+ years, etc and a lot of people clearly stopped coming.
Well, in the Dashboard, it says there are 44987 registered users, and even more interesting is that this number actually went up while I was in the Dashboard. I'm guessing there is some sort of spam bot automatically registering usernames?
I would imagine if 3+ people registered while I was there, they would have posted something. (Why make an account just like that for no reason unless you wanted to post something or ask a question? And 3 different people?) Also, the ~45000 number sounds way too big for these boards. I'm confused why these (probably) spam bots aren't actually making topics though… that seems strange…
Ya I think it's spam bots. I've seen a few spam posts. LYS has always done a good job deleting those posts.

I'm pretty sure the forum and LYS' main page are linked. Some of them could be people asking questions on one of the FAQs.
