Since xmas is coming up soon i was just wondering which of the two consoles you have and or prefer.
I am planning on getting one of the two and need to know which one i should buy.
Quite frankly, the current generation sucks; the Wii is the best of the three, but it still doesn't hold a candle to the PS2.
Dude…DA…please tell me you know that's a spammer (what with the x-mas coming soon reference, and the numerous links at the end of his post).
Also, the Wii is terrible. 90% of the games for the Wii are shovel-ware. Too gimmicky. I do agree that they all suck though, worst generation of video games ever and just underlines my feelings on the direction of gaming. Too much attention to innovation has led us to these retarded devices like Kinect, the Wii controller, Move, etc. Gaming is gaming if you want to exercise then get off ur lazy ass and get outside :P huohu

And they've all got plenty of shovelware. Only one of them has a chance of getting DoaE, though. :huohu:

Of current-gen consoles the Wii's my favorite, because of Monster Hunter, Fire Emblem, Baroque, Opoona, the virtual console stuff… and of course, Mario ;)
PS3 has a couple good ones (DW7 is better than expected), but fewer (and costlier) than the Wii.
Kinda a shame about JRPGs, though. They died a quiet death on consoles this gen.

PS3 gets it for me just because of PSN. So great to get a chance to play a lot of rare games, even games I have I like to get so I don't have to worry about my old copies of Wild ARMs, Suikoden, etc. Also allowed me to get Twisted Metal 2 cheap instead of paying $30 at Amazon or eBay to get a decent copy. Virtual Console just pales in comparison to the value that the PSN has (and yes I do know PSN was down for a while but I had all my stuff before that so I didn't really care).
That said I rarely play the PS3 and haven't played that much of the other systems. So my vote doesn't really count.

Agreed on PSN being great, I have Wild ARMs, Suikoden and Saiyuki, and I'll probably pick up Xenogears and FFVII at some point too (all of which I have already – but it's great to not worry about discs and be able to toss them on the PSP).
Whether it's as good as Virtual Console… well, it's pretty close. Wii has NES, SNES, Genesis and 64, while PSN is just PS1 and new stuff. If the rumored PS4 has PS2 in addition, then yeah, it'll definitely win ;)
I actually got to experience Phantasy Stars 2 & 4 for the first time thanks to VC. PSN stuff I haven't played as much, but the upscaling is nice.
Some people complain about the price of VC/PSN, but you can easily get by on just a few Wii/PS3 games and spend a bit on the older games here and there.

i love the ps3, cause of dynasty warriors gundam and overlord, the xbox 360 has some nice games and i think i'm going to get dynasty warriors 7 and samurai warriors 3 when they come out, don't know if they are coming out with a warriors orochi 3 but that would be cool, and the psn didn't give my two free games :evil: , i wanted phantasy star portable 2 and lord of arcana

PS1's are all $9.99 if I remember right. Besides that I think I just prefer the PS1 games that are available for replay, though I don't know why they don't have Suikoden II on there yet. They would make a fortune with the amount of people unable to play because of how much it costs (though I remember it not being as rare or expensive overseas… and while it's rare here there is less of a market here).
