This is the random game I picked up at Akihabara. If you do a search for the name (above) I’m sure you can find a ROM.

This game is sort of like an RPGish Mario Party in the Three Kingdoms world.
As the game starts, everyone picks their ruler (and rulers for any comps involved). A ruler has HP, Strength, Intelligence and Speed.
One of the castles, chosen at random, is invaded and occupied by a general (also random). If a player makes it to that castle, they fight the general, which uses a simple one-on-one battle system that’s turn-based sort of like Rock-Paper-Scissors. You have different weapons to use, but you’re limited to what you have – you start with an assortment, but I’m not sure how to get more.

Once the first castle is reconquered, the conquering player gets to keep it – and post generals in its defense (the occupying general is recruited by the conquerer). Additional generals are acquired through events at the beginning of the month – each of the rulers that can be chosen has a roster of generals that joins up.
I’m pretty impressed by this game, actually. There’s some decent strategy to it, some good board game mechanics, and it was made for kids so it’s easy for me to read :D
