ParticipantAt last…

Sorry for Huo Hu acting as strategist and moving out of the team. Just had to squish Liu Ye in there after his return.

ParticipantUnfortunately, I got so frustrated with the final battle that I decided to try the Unlimited Tactic Point cheat… Uh, it only took away every single point that I had, leaving me with 0 and no Ce Mian/An Sha…
So I had to restart, cheat my way up to Sima Yi in a few minutes, and re-did the battle NORMALLY. I did manage to beat it eventually, but I must say, the game was definitely more challenging than the original. Had a great time playing it. Love how we have Huo Hu and Lu Bu.

KeymasterYou ever use Yuan Shao? I think I put him in Pang Tong's spot, he's pretty solid overall. One of Yuan Shu's best options.
The original version didn't have Lu Bu in it, or at least not with a growing soldier count. Pretty sure I gave him the no-An Sha ability right? So no enemy can ever An Sha him? Otherwise he would get torn up in Wei.

ModeratorLu Bu is broken with An Sha immunity. Sure, he's strong, but keep in mind that ANYONE can get "These are not the droids you're looking for!" to work on him, including deer and frogs!

KeymasterSo you're referring to Li Jian and Yi Xin I'm assuming?
Yea he can still be terrorized by them, and Li Jian can be especially deadly since obviously his attack is high and he'll probably have at least a 240 attack power weapon by Wei.

ParticipantI used Yuan Shao up to the point when I got Liu Ye, I believe, just favored Ji Ling and Han Yin over Shao. I think Lu Bu was immune to An Sha, thankfully, though Ji Ling was always beheaded in EVERY SINGLE WEI BATTLE that involved a tactician of some sort. -.-
Always underestimate Sima Yi's Bei Ji… if you wish to die. :P It's indeed very difficult to win with an An Sha strategist in this.

KeymasterYep, that's why Ji Ling is overrated on that game. Need to make him better, in practice he doesn't end up being that effective. Probably will have to start with having his INT go up a little higher so he can survive some battles in Wu and Wei. Ji Ling also has the agility-bug like Yuan Shao where they automatically go last like every time (yes, even after Rebel Forces a lot of the time). Not sure how that works but I reckon the screwing around we do with the rom creation somehow disrupts the agility value for certain characters and sets it at 0 (just a guess). Someone said before it was related to a character dying and reviving but even without that the agility problem was still there.

ParticipantJust remembered, I forgot to take the second Chi Tu Ma this time. I usually go back at about the Wu campaign to pick up tht second one, but oh well.
June 14, 2010 at 10:26 pm #37360Lord Yuan Shu
KeymasterSome times that second Chi Tu Ma isn't there though. I only come across that second Chi Tu Ma maybe 10-15% of my play throughs just guessing off hand? But I only check for the second one at the very end after I take over Chin Castle and am near Luo Yang (the very very end). At that point I can't use the second Chi Tu Ma that long anyway so I understand you getting it in Wu, having two of those horses through Wei would be a nice help.

ParticipantChange Deng Ai's sprite. He looks too fat. :D
June 14, 2010 at 11:09 pm #37362Lord Yuan Shu
KeymasterOk thanks for the feedback. Reasonable idea, a Dong Zhuo sprite probably isn't the best for him but I figured it'd make him look like a borderline-boss type character. But I can probably find a cool sprite + color that that would work better for his personality.
Then I'll pass on that Dong Zhuo sprite to someone else who is more fitting of it.

ParticipantI usually remember Deng Ai as the one with the turban from RoTK. How about Guan Xing or Lu Guang sprite?
June 15, 2010 at 3:26 am #37364Lord Yuan Shu
KeymasterYea good idea. Lu Guang might be a little too generic so Guan Xing would be a good replacement sprite. I'll have to look into who I used with Guan Xing's sprite, I'm sure I already have used it so I'll try to find a unique color. And will add this to the list of updates needed to be made :P
