ParticipantThats what I play at work and class: old ROMs of games I had as a kid.
Most played:
Earthbound
Chrono Trigger
Secret of Mana
Final Fantasy VI
Secret of Evermore
prolly some others I’m forgetting as well. They’re still among the most fun games to play, plus you get the nostalgia value as well.

Best Buy is similarly aweful. Where do these businesses get off thinking they can continually offer such poor service and maintain consumer base? I already refuse to shop at compusa and best buy is a last resort for me…what next? circuit city is definitely shitty. Eventually all commerce will be conducted over the internet anyway, so I prefer to find the good online companies now. Newegg has never let me down on tech parts. EB Games has yet to fail me, though the pokemon stadium gold/silver for N64 that I ordered used is a bit picky on how you have to plug it in (there was only 1 left anyway by the time i got around to actually wanting to play that game, then my pokemans all got deleted from my red cartridge (including an official mew and 3 mewtwos, all maxed out with every pokeman), so i will never play pokeman again) . . . :finger:
My surfing Raichu owned you anyways.

ParticipantTopic – Affirmative Action
This is the most hypocritical policy I have ever been witness to. In our society, it is prevalant in the schools, and the workplace most of all.
For those who are unaware of what this means it is simple: hiring various minorities to fill "quotas" of how many minorities should (based on a geographical demographic, company policy, state law, whatever) be admitted to a school, workplace, etc.
In other words it means hiring minorities for the sake of having minorities.
Now, the general purpose of this policy is (supposedly) to counter racism in hiring and addmitance policies. To make sure that minorities are getting a fair chance to excel. However, this practice directly promotes what it was created to prevent: hiring on the basis of race. Now instead of discriminating against minorities you are discriminating against the majority.
The white male is THE most discriminated against demographic when it comes to finding a job, applying to a school, whatever. It simply boggles my mind as to how hypocritical and counter-productive this practice is.
Honestly, when are people going to realize that race is irrelevant in the workplace? Hire on the basis of merits and skill, not race. A black man will get a job over a white man even if the white man is more skilled for the job, simply because the company must fill quotas. (and is afriad of getting sued by said black man, but thats another rant)
I’m not even a racist or anything. I just hate the concept of hiring on the basis of color or gender as opposed to skill, no matter which way the "racism cannon" is pointed.
Everyone’s got such a boner over flaunting "diversity" these days… I work at a very large company so I see the effects of this daily.
I got more rants on racism and shit, but I’ll save those for another day.
