To any and all who own a Wii this monday, April 21st in US will probably be one of the best days there is, River City Ransom for the NES is launched on the VC as well as Phantasy Star III. Get them both!! I command you!
No there on the intraweb as Roms. They were Prototype Cartridges from May 1994-November 1994 or something like that and they were recently dumped. I haven’t had any luck finding the torrent they were in.
Also there were some Sonic Prototype games recently dumped to and Sonic 2 had some secrets I guess.
I have SoTN on my X360 so I haven’t grabbed the PSP collection yet. Whats the other games that are on it by the way?
It’s for Phantasy Star IV, the main difference is character names, Alys=Ryre, Chaz=Rudy, Wren=Fron so basically there closer to the original Japanese versions. Also there’s some encounters that are rare in the final release that happen a lot more often in the Proto’s. They haven’t posted any new things or specific things they’ve found that were left out, just mentioned that the translation isn’t quite as refined as the release was.
Anyone here seen the details about the Phantasy Star IV Prototype games? There’s a thread on the Genesis PS IV board over at Gamefaqs about them. Interesting read.

If the file downloaded it should be in a rar or 7zip/winzip format. You’ll have to extract it somewhere and then download either ePSXe or PSxe emulators. PSXe is simplier and runs most games, epsxe is more complicated but when tweaked it can give you better graphics than what original was intended for the PSone.
You’ll also need a playstation bios so do a google search for i think its called PSX Sccp bios 1001 or something like that. Whatever emulator you choose will tell you in the readme file which bios file you’ll need to search for. If you end up with more questions like this hit me up on Yahoo and I should be able to help you. And if I knew what I was doing with ripping a game I’d rip my on Persona 2 so I could P2P it with whoever needs it but thats something I don’t know unfortunately.

Thats only the torrent file. U need a program like Azureus to open the torrent file then that’ll download the game for you. It’s neigh impossible to find direct links to ISO’s, can be done but much harder. Try this site if you can handle all the spyware that the site throws at you http://snesorama.us/board/index.php
