anyway, Aukland to NY? i usually play the third scenario, so that seems a litte excessive to me, i would have just done a Tokyo to Sydney.

I usually go New York to Auckland in the 4th scenario. 8,870 miles of massive profit in the right situation :)
I hate the 4th scenario, i’m a short hop kinda guy you see… also, my favourite city get’s hit hard in the fourth scenario, due to stupid Thatcher.

To be honest, i was able to make more profits with Tehran than i was with Baghdad.
Tehran to NY? sounds like a waste of money that could be used for Tried and True NY to Tokyo and NY to London Routes, now NY to Perth… That’s Suicide.

In all seriousness, that game was pretty good. I still play it on occasion, using some of the lower-rung cities. Too bad you can’t play as one of the minor cities. I used to enjoy playing as Nairobi, Rio de Janeiro, and Lagos in the first one.
And Honolulu was another good one to play as. I was always dissapointed they left entire areas of the world out, like South Africa and Patagonia, and also how the middle east was treated in game. I don’t thinkit should have been as bad as it was in later scenarios.
I have a predetermined list of officers, starting with Cao Cao or whoever is needed to unlock Cao Cao, then my favourite Shu, then my Favourite Wu and so on till i have beaten the game with all officers.
You just had to be around back in 92 and 93 to be able to see how really great it was, back when people actually went to arcades, where you could see the local champions head to head on a daily basis after school. Good Times.
