Suikoden 5 Start
Suikoden V Index : Walkthrough/FAQ
Opening
Well, there is your main character. And look, just like Suikoden IV you have the choice of a voice. The Auto Battle choices are nice. So far, I’ve found more luck with having that set at Low HP, so that the party isolates one at a time. Totally situational, just remember what you have it set at when you choose Auto Battle. As for Message Spd, I just put it at Show All, as I’m too impatient for Fast even.
And of course, Suikoden V is filled with choices and characters. Not all of the choices are important as you’ll find out. More or less the more you ask around, the more people you’re going to meet and get to join you. When you’re given decisions, do what you wish, but consider a few things. First of all, if you’re a perfectionist in terms of getting all 108 every game, realize that plenty of the decisions you make (both in your large battles and in your dialog choices) will alter whether or not you get a certain character, item, or event.
Suikoden V tends to bring back characters from past games. Georg, who starts off as a bodyguard of yours, is a good example of this from Suikoden 2. Jeane, Lorelai and Viki are some others. Numerous gameplay features are tied to previous Suikoden’s; duel’s, large wars, party battles, runes. Fortunately for the fan-base, most of the features are from the first two Suikoden‘s.
You fight party battles with six members and four Entourage members. Gone are the four party member battles from Suikoden IV and the Short / Medium / Long range weapons have been added. Also there are formations that you can switch around to give a boost to magicians, tanks, and others.
