Go to the shop. This is the last upgrade for weapons and armor. You’ll need to buy a lot of it, although you should have a few weapons that bosses dropped that are better (and the Vandal Heart of course).
At the tavern is a Weird Man. If you’ve been keeping up, you should have all the Keys (Key of Mana, Key of Logos, etc). He doesn’t want the keys though.
Instead, bring a key in Ash’s possession to the Dojo. You can undergo the Trials of Toroah. If you succeed and get the treasure in each of them, you can bring them to this Weird Man and he will give you the final key, the Key of Heaven. Then if you bring that key to the dojo and get the treasure you can return to the dojo and promote Ash to a Vandalier – by far the best class in the game.
Now would be the best time to do this as you can then enjoy the Vandalier class a lot more. Go here for more information on the Vandalier Trials of Toroah. Just note that if you become a Vandalier the difficulty of the battles will decrease significantly.

Battle 31 – Fort Gareth – 4 C. Shooters – 7 C. Armors – 5 C. Knights – 2 C. Priests – 2 C. Warlocks – 1 Kane – 1 Black Knight Kane
Items – Necklace, Caliburn
This is the big finale against the Crimson forces. Kane is pissed that you’ve killed all of his friends, and plus his dad just died. Time for the final battle.
If you did all the Trial’s of Toroah and Ash is a Vandalier, then you can use Plasma Wave to take off half damage on pretty much everyone and kill the C. Armor. Ash will gain about 300 EXP for this. The battle is then basically a cakewalk.
If you don’t have Ash as a Vandalier, you’re dealing with one of the more grueling battles in the game. Kane is at the end and his crimson forces are spread in the middle.
Have archers and magicians ready to take out the C. Warlock and C. Priest on the other side of the structure in front. Then worry about the archers and knights. The next set again requires you to hurry and kill the C. Warlock and then mop up everyone else.
Push a boulder into that big structure and it’ll lower. Kill the enemies around here. After your turn, Xeno should come in to aid Kane. Kane sees he’s losing so he surrenders his soul and turns into Black Knight Kane, thanks to Xeno. Now he’ll use Plasma Wave, so if you don’t have Ash as a Vandalier you’ll get to see this maneuver. Heal immediately, Supreme Healing if you have to. Plasma Wave costs 15 MP and Kane has 25 so he can only do it once. Or so it seems. He’ll stay on that recovery thing and get his MP back so make sure to rush him so he doesn’t continually Plasma Wave you. He’ll likely do two and then rush you.
After this turn, concentrate on mopping up the Warlocks and Priests around him, and then all the other lesser enemies.
Obviously you can see the grey marking near where Kane is, search for a Necklace. When the time comes, just make sure you gang up on him – his physical attacks are tough too. The Crimson army is no more. Kane drops a valuable Caliburn by the way.

Battle 32 – Cobalt Beach – 4 Grenadiers – 4 Blood Bats – 7 Centurions
Items – Holy H20, Life Orb, Ragnarok
Ash seems to be going out of control, hearing voices and such. This battle is up there for easiest in the game. If you have Ash as a Vandalier it definitely is.
Anyway, you’re fighting Grenadiers and Centurions and Blood Bats, enemies from chapter 3. The chest just south of you is a Life Orb. Start pushing east towards all the enemies and the two remaining chests. There is no reason for you to hold back, you’ll have the elevation advantage and your army is better by far. The chest far to the east is Holy H20 and the one in the lower northeast is Ragnarok Axe – the best axe in the game. Kill the rest of the enemies.
After the battle, Ash continues to go crazy and eventually he strikes someone – it’s Clive! Ash regains control after this, and Clive explains to him what really happened with his father. Ash’s father is no traitor after all. And Clive will be okay.

Battle 33 – Capital Shumeria – 4 Bahamuts – 2 Hellknights – 2 M. Cannons – 2 Mega Guards – 3 Dark Mages – Xeno
Items – Mojo Robe, Gold Axe, Runewand
This is it, the final battle against Xeno. Turns out monsters are killing off the Crimson Guard, or what’s left of them.
The grey marking just east of your starting point is a Mojo Robe. Kill off the Bahamuts and get this. Moving this far over will likely attract the attention of some hell knights and a few Dark Mages – maybe even an M. Cannon. Just kill those Dark Mages that come after you – they are no fun.
You’re likely to lose a few characters as the M. Cannons and Hell Knights gang up on someone. When you clear the area, split up and in the southeast is a Gold Axe to get.
As usual, save your big spells for around Xeno to clear his bodyguards. Then, gang up on him. Xeno has a good attack for a mage, but he has a mage-like defense. A few hits should do him in. He drops a Runewand. After the battle you get the chance to re-supply – choose to do so.

Save and buy anything you need here. You have two more battles left so this is your last opportunity to do anything. Make sure you give that Rune Wand that you got from Xeno to someone.

Battle 34 – Capital Shumeria II – 3 Mega Guards – 3 M. Cannons – 3 Hellknights – 3 Bahamuts – 2 Dark Mages – 1 Dolf Death Lord – 1 Dolf Dark Angel
Items – None
This is it. The final battle.
Basically, all the enemies are on top of you. Pick a side (or go after both) and clear it. Salamander can damage a ton of enemies right away (so can Plasma Wave of course). The archers can take the Bahamuts out, and definitely go after the Dark Mages right away when they come out after turn 1. No items to look for – just clear out the enemies as they come.
The M. Cannons are going to stick to the back and the Dark Mages likely will too, so you might as well engage all the enemies.
Once you bring Dolf into the battle, try to eliminate all of the other enemies first. Dolf himself hits hard and generally will rely on physical attacks.
After Dolf Death Lord is defeated, he’ll turn into Dolf Dark Angel. Watch out for this enemy – he’ll use Dynamo Hum, an area based attack that will light you up. Just gang up on him – both Dolf’s are low in HP so it shouldn’t take that long.
Enjoy the ending.
