The Two Qiaos
“Bathed in the light of sun and moon, the gentle flower gains great beauty. Perhaps it was not only fated, but inevitable, that the heroes of Wu should flock to the flowers of Jiang Dong.
In the year 196 AD, Sun Ce and Zhou Yu set out to make brides of the “Two Qiaos.” Little did they realize that what lay before them was not only a wedding banquet, but a trial of their love.”
Strategy: Sun Ce and Zhou Yu are after the Qiao sisters, but the sisters have a test for the two Wu army members. Each is presented with several trials to test their love for their respective Qiao. Sun Ce and Zhou Yu then meet up at the end for the unlikely final test against the two sisters themselves!
While the paths are similar, the beginning is different for each. Sun Ce is asked to defeat the beastmasters controlling the tigers. Each beastmaster controls two tigers, but really it’s not too difficult especially if you have Red Hare. Dodge the initial surge from the two tigers and slither around to kill their master. At the end of this is Taishi Ci. He is powered up, but really is a pushover. If you beat him fast enough, you’ll get Sun Ce’s fourth weapon. From here, defeat Zhou Tai and Zuo Ci, and then you’ll be at the sisters
Zhou Yu on the other hand has a much more difficult first test. That is, if you want to not get caught. The tiger watchguards are restricted to going back and forth within a small proximity, but their vision is pretty far. Patience is the key here, and having a horse (Red Hare) helps even more. Try to use the nearby map so you can see where the red dots are, and sort of gauge your safety by that. Remember there are archers though, although it doesn’t matter if they see you or not. Try to get to the north as soon as it opens up, and then travel that way until you get to the first set of houses. Check out where the tigers are, and make a run for the next set of houses, and try to keep to the south wall now as you creep up to the gate. There will be two tigers here, one that checks on the gate area and one that is near the exit to this area. Don’t stall too long; if you see an opening take it, just make sure to stick next to the wall. If you make it you’ll be spared from Cheng Pu, Zhu Zhi, and Han Dang, all of whom are powered up. Huang Gai is at the end of this area, but he’s one of the easier fights in this entire stage. Wipe him out, and then take on Zhou Tai and then Zuo Ci just as you did before, and then prepare for the two girls.
These two are tough, especially if you’re like me and sometimes get here before your partner does. Fighting them two on one is near impossible, as they are incredibly fast. Combine this with both of them doing Musou Rages at the end, and also the attack bonus that Xiao Qiao gets and the defense bonus that Da Qiao and you have a tough battle, whether you have your ally there or not. In fact, having your ally there can be dangerous.
Xiao Qiao is a monster when her attack is up so you should probably take her out first. Da Qiao still might kill your ally but she’s more of a defensive issue than anything else. Try to isolate one of them (hopefully Xiao Qiao) and defeat her, and you should be able to gang up on the last one sufficiently after that. After the defeat, they congratulate you and then state that they’re going to marry you. How nice.
