ParticipantI considered getting the MJ Yuber pic from Suiko III to match up with LYS, but I can’t find a good place to get one…

ParticipantS3 Yuber looks like he’s from A Clockwork Orange.

ModeratorYeah, I didn’t used to like his look but it somehow suits his char in S3.
In S1 he was just a random demon general, so he looked sorta like a crazy viking. Didn’t do a whole lot.
S2 he had the whole heavy armor thing going on… again he was on the battlefield mostly and you never saw him outside of that.
S3 he was more prominent. He was hard to beat in the early optional-win fights.

KeymasterYea in Suikoden II you fight Yuber when you take back Greenhill. He was always tough to defeat in those battles.
When you storm Greenhill after, he is the one that sends the bone dragon or whatever after you.

He was very generic in Suikoden I. But army battles got way too easy at the end when you could just see what the enemy was going to do every time.

KeymasterYea there are always rumors that newer Suikoden’s would cover the Pesmerga / Yuber rivalry some more thus giving us some more answers about those two.

ParticipantYeah,I hope they resolve some of the conflicts from the early games like the crowley and mazus rivalry and such. Also was S3 and S4 good I heard they werent good so I never bothered with them,Would you guys recommened getting them?

ModeratorI would definitely recommend S3.
Qualified, though, with: The battle/stats system is complicated and often frustrating. I only got the hang of how skills work (i.e. what they do) about 25 hours into my first playthrough, so I thought it was pretty frustrating.
My second playthrough I liked it a lot more. By the third time I’d pretty much decided it was better than Suikoden 1. It’s a good deal longer and more involved, and there’s more min/maxing to be done with characters too. Just like Suikoden 2, with the right characters it’s possible to do much more damage with physical than magic.
