Default Value is 0C
Decreasing this value will lower the likelihood an officer will ask for money and increase the likelihood an officer will ask for a steed, for example 02. Increasing this value will increase the likelihood an officer will ask for money and decrease the likelihood an officer will ask for a steed for example 0E.

Also, per sonic penguin, since DOAEditor does not allow modders to edit chapters for tiles on Jian An or Wu Cave, you will have to edit it manually via a hex editor w/ the appropriate Chapter.

3A1FD:C7 and 3A201:CB were the original addresses but I KNOW there was a table set up to apply up to a few more. I just can't find it.

ModeratorOkay, now I see it. The labeling was bad and I couldn't find it. I modified it slightly to make it more user friendly, essentially adding the DOAE word attack instead of strike which is non-doae format wordage :P
Data Tables
0x55e0-0x55e6 — Bonus Attack Item ID table. These items grant a guaranteed bonus strike.
0x55f0-0x55ff — Random % of attacker's AGI

When it comes to duel there are 3 INT levels:
Below 180 = Only look at their own STR to decide whether or not to duel.
181-219 = Compare their STR vs their opponent and make a somewhat wise choice.
220+ = Rarely duel, see if they can send someone else in their place.
The "180" cutoff is at 0x4537.
The way it works now the only general that will never reject a duel is Lu Bu. With INT < 180 he is only looking at his own STR and he has max STR.

ModeratorJust throwing an idea out there… I know it's rather the 11th hour in terms of the FOW release, but what do you think about changing the effects of Thwart/Evade? I'm finding that Thwart gets abused, and if the enemy uses it it's almost impossible, but Evade is something I'd almost not use especially since Guard is permanent…
SO, what about changing Evade to 50% permanent damage reduction (like guard) and Guard being reduced to 25% damage reduction to make it less ub3r and Thwart to 50% tactic damage reduction permanent, but special tactics still work like Behead, Duel, Buffs etc (like super protect) b/c Thwarting your party and negating 5 peoples tactics is just so cheap and so abusable (which is why I have removed it from the player side) and changing protect to 25% tactic damage reduction because if you get thwarted it essentially makes you lose the battle
Thoughts?

ModeratorWould be a somewhat big job. If I do my tactic overhaul I can definitely include various evade/thwart/guard/protect variances but that wouldn't come before FoW should be initially released 8)

ModeratorFix the IPS patch so that it creates 1MB roms and doesnt mess up sprite tables and such and has those bug fixes just in case I wind up starting another mod :P
