ModeratorUgg, how did I not see this one? Looks like I have a handful of bugs to fix but little time to do it. Just started tracing that last one and it looks like it's going to the life/raise targeting code for some unknown reason.

ModeratorYeah, I figured I could try testing even without equipping armors but then I was like, holy cow, I won without having any armor on my guys… and then I was like, wow, I didn't even get hit once, that must've been a lot of misses… so I tried the battle again just to make sure and lo and behold they were attacking themselves, heh heh.
I know in patch 1.2 that I applied to ROLB I was having issues with enemies using life/raise, they were targeting the player party instead, but the player party targeted fine. Weird stuff.
So in a nutshell, and sorry it took all Summer to get to it due to my residence change, but:
1. DOAEditor bugs with the 3 brothers and calculator producing a JIT runtime error
2. Enemies attacking themselves with the current code crisis
3. Making it so armors do not have to be officer specific, just weapons
4. Working on the new counter-attack function (aka project "black belt")
5. Keeping on Atma to crank out the Jin Xuan Conqueror of Worlds Mod
For the glory of Huo Hu! :huohu: :unibrow:

Moderator…Huo Hu demands that the four-tile water tactic requirement be removed. :huohu: :unibrow:

ModeratorAlso, the AC bar, even with 200 AC is shorter than the AP bar which might have a weapon with a numerically less number. Is there a way to actually display an officers base AC without it just being black? For example, see below. 150 AC and that tiny bar.

ModeratorWe've got room for seventeen blocks; since everything goes 1-255, logically we can have int(stat/15) for how many blocks each stat has.
…and I still recommend setting the blocks form 2-color to 4-color so we can have more pleasing blocks.

ModeratorThe original idea was 16 and save the last block for "special" cases like Zhuge Liang's extra 5 INT over Sima Yi or Lu Bu's 5 STR over Zhang Fei would give them both that extra bar to make them more unique.

ModeratorInt(stat/15) would be 16 blocks for a 254 and 17 blocks for a 255, so it'd still handle those special cases.

ParticipantQuote:Okay, very odd issue coming up. Enemies aren't attacking me, they're attacking themselves… lolIn RoLB 3.0 i've been healed by the enemy. Not sure if this was intentional..lol

ModeratorYeah, there is some targeting issue going on that has to be resolved. It's also evident in patch 1.3. Will have to wait for MiDKnighT to see what he can come up as that is a coding/targeting issue.
Other than that, how goes your playthrough of 3.0?

Moderatoragghh! Bugs!!! And this week is a crazy work week too. I'll get the enemies hitting themselves bug first when I get some time.

ParticipantPlay though is good. I haven't really been playing lately (i'm currently addicted to Swtor) but i'm at the last castle at max lvl. So it's just a matter of time before I beat it I guess :)

ModeratorWell the attack thing is not a bug. At least not in IPS patch 1.3. The problem was that you had "01" at 0xe8900 which is the first entry of the tactic target table. Apparently the first entry is attack. Ie…tactic ID 00 = attack. Since there was an "01" there it was trying to pick an ally. In this case, attack an ally.
Solution is simple, change 0xe8900 to "00".
Finding it was nasty, fixing it is easy… :wasted:

ModeratorHmm, didn't I pick that out that starting the tactics at that address was not right? SO the table for tactic targeting actually starts at E8901 correct?
So do you think you can get that armor glitch fixed so I can work on the mod and work with item/shop/weapon adjustments? I can probably bypass editing the 3 brother's profiles for a little bit at least.
The new tactic system is going to take some adjusting as I finally had my own system worked out so it's gonna have to be tweaked immensely for the new 1.3 patch version

ModeratorQuote:Hmm, didn't I pick that out that starting the tactics at that address was not right? SO the table for tactic targeting actually starts at E8901 correct? The last 2 numbers are the tactic ID. The first tactic (Lian Huo) is tactic ID 01 so in the tables you would put it at 0xe8901 for targeting.
