ParticipantI’ve just got to Pagoda Tower… Damn, the enemies hit strong here! Sorry, I just found out that it was that dungeon for the demo. And for the reason Liu Bei is at level 1, probably because they just setted default stats for the demo…
EDIT: Now at Cheng Du, after being taunted by Ma Chao, going to see Ma Dai at that mausoleum. I just hope the mausoleum is less bad than the tomb earlier.

ParticipantAgain, double post…
I’m really starting to hope for a new update of this walkthrough, as I’ve just got to Liu Bei’s dream. Are the paths just random in the dream, or is it just me?
EDIT: Since you haven’t made that in the walkthrough yet, I’ve found two items in the village north of Han Zhong. Here’s their location:
1. There is an item in the southeastern most house. in the southeastern pot. I do not know what it might be.
2. There is an item in the northwestern most house, in the northwestern basket. Again, I do not know what it is.
I hope that helps, I might put the items location of other cities once I get there.

ParticipantI’ll start right on those updates.
You’ll have to excuse the dungeon info for Ladder Mountain and especially that Teleport Forest, I was just trying to hurry up and finish and those dungeons were bad enough just trying to get through, let alone finding every pot location. Those directions for Ladder Mountain are the quickest path to reach the end, but the other ladders probably lead to treasures.
If you have any other info you want to contribute to/request for in the guide, let me know.

ParticipantI just got to An Ding, here’s my finds:
1. In the eastern house (north of the inn), there is an Item in the southwestern pots.
2. In the same house (The one north of the inn), there is an item in the drawer.
3. In the Southwestern house, there is an item in the western pot (the one near the drawer).
That’s it for An Ding. By the way, have you thought of a name for that village after Hanzhong?

ParticipantI dunno, might as well be Didao or something. I’m not well-versed in that area.

ParticipantHummm… Might as well call it Wu Du, since it’s near Han Zhong. It’s not easy since there is the language barrier.
EDIT: Now I understand what you mean about that F?%$"/&)/%"?/&"/(%$ LADDER MOUNTAIN! This is the worst dungeon I’ve ever seen!!! I forgot to speak to that man so… I will have to do everything back… DANG IT!

ParticipantDidn’t I tell you? I told you. That dungeon is evil, and then you get to the end and find out you forgot to talk to that one guy. At least the boss isn’t Sima Yi…

ParticipantI’m gonna enter Tian Shui, finally, and see what I can find.
EDIT: OK, as far as I can remember, I’ve found only three things in Tian Shui. Here they are:
1. Southwestern house, pot in the secret area.
2. Southwestern house, the other pot in the secret area (the one that you haven’t checked earlier).
3. The western house in the middle of the city, in the drawer, there seems to be a better version of Cure-all which costs 36 MP instead of 29 for the earlier version.
I’ll keep in touch if I can get to the next town.
REEDIT: Got to the village at the gate, just after Tian Shui. I’ve found these two things:
1. In the southwestern house (Cui Zou Ping’s? I haven’t got there yet), there is an item in the southeastern pot.
2. In the same house (The one I think it’s Cui Zou Ping’s), There is a magic in the northwestern pot, that magic costs 40MP, but I don’t know the real effect as I’ve not tested it yet. It’s an attack magic, though.
ANOTHER EDIT: OK, it’s really Cui Zou Ping’s house, sorry. On to the fire spirit cave and then… Another city… I hope so.
EDIT ONCE AGAIN: In the city which Xiahou Dun was guarding (I think it might be Chang An), here are my founds:
1. In the western house (I think it’s just north of the shop), there is an item in the drawer.
2. In the Northeastern house, there is an item in the northwestern pot.
3. In the southeastern house, there is an item in the western pot.
That seems to complete the item quest for towns, as I’m guessing the game ends once you’ve entered Luo Yang.

ParticipantYeah, that’s the last town. You don’t get to enter Luo Yang.
Thanks for the item locations, I’ll confirm them once I reach those towns.
Good luck against the Simas!

ParticipantCongrats on beating the game, at about 20 levels higher than I was. I like to run away a lot…
Anyway, I’d put you on the list but the bottom parts of the walkthrough won’t show up, which means there’s either an error in the boards or I’ve finally reached the character limit for a post.
Lord, I don’t suppose you can put up a Hall of Fame section on the main DOAE3 page? It justs consists of myself, Wei Yan, and Perhong_Angtong, shouldn’t be too hard.

ParticipantThank you, would you like to see the ending, or shall I leave it to you, not to spoil it? It’s not the greatest ending in history, though. But like Taishi Ci said, anything’s good after you finish a game!

ParticipantYou could start a picture thread. How many pics did you take of the game?
June 14, 2006 at 1:39 pm #15320Perhong_Angtong
ParticipantNot much though, I mostly took the ending, I could restart the game, but it took me 22 hours to complete it the first time, though. And if I do that, goodbye TNDOAE building. I’ll just stick to RPG making for now, and once I finish version 2, I may do that.
