Man this sucks…You have to get the Bloody Button / defeat Reaper to be able to access Monad. Problem is I need to get in there to level up faster. Also I never beat him in the first game anyway even when I went into Monad so…

Huo Hu's Adventure started Destiny of an Emperor hackingYea that was one strategy I’ve heard. I take it you’ve beat him in the past? It’s just gay that you can’t level up in Monad to beat him because the EXP is paltry for leveling up personae past 70 in the 240 floors.
I actually just beat that mother fucker about 15 minutes ago, with the Thunder Reign strategy. The key was waiting for him to attack another teammate, then healing that teammate and joining the battle. This was the attack order is Main – the two other characters(Mitsuru / Yukari) – Reaper – then the character who encountered Reaper.
The problem is Thunder Reign still misses about 20-30% of the time leaving you open for some attacks…but Reaper wastes so many attacks on Ice Break, Thunder Break, etc. Also there were a few Mamudoon’s that resulted in no one dying so I was lucky there. The Reaper though has an innate ability to just go weakness to weakness with the dyne spells on my allies which is always fun. I think I actually had a few characters die early on in that battle that I won but I managed to Samarecarm them and he musted wasted turns on break attacks or failed Hama / Mudo spells. I know he didn’t get Medigolaon off on me because I would have been slaughtered.
I was getting nervous watching those last few Thunder Reigns because I’ve gotten him down low before but I’d always miss a Thunder Reign and then he’d pull a Megidolaon off and I’d want to frisbee my P3 FES disc. It feels damn good pulling that off though, now I can level up past level 75.

Huo Hu's Adventure started Destiny of an Emperor hackingeah I kicked his ass in P3, but i ‘ve heard playing on hard is pretty rough once u hit the reaper and elizabeth, and since my awesome cu chuainn is gone, I will hve to rework him, but this time I need to get a few better skills, so he can hold his own.
Man I’m just glad I’m done with that battle. Monad is fun to mess around in.

All I did was finish up the cycle on 12/31/09. I heard that you had to kill the Reaper and got bummed at first. Although when i started my new cycle I saw that Monad was indeed accessible.
