FF2 was a pretty good game. I mean, it suffered a few Phantasy Star-esk problems such as "You wandered too far in X direction, now YOU’RE FUCKING DOOMED BITCHASSNIGGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA". However, the leveling system, while flawed and bugged up the ass, is still my favorite. Well, I prefer it to shit like the sphere grid and licensing system.
You have to remember, though; the very thing that makes you a nerd is that your enthusiasms are totally unrelatable and non-marketable to most of the world. For example, anime and celibacy. - Seanbaby

I guess it depends on what version you play. The Dawn of Souls version is much better than the original NES version.
How so?
I don’t like this because you can’t play it on speedup since the point isn’t to kill the enemy…but to kill yourself enough to gain HP and other stats.

Huo Hu's Adventure started Destiny of an Emperor hackingI recall the NES version having easy to kill randoms, but then the bosses were really hard if you hadn’t been stat grinding beforehand.
