Well I guess part of me is just really pissed off that I’m not playing as the main character after 6 and a half hours. Like, I’m getting all these really high level characters (level 20-40) and I just feel like I’m wasting my time playing as them. It’s like, leveling up takes a while (save for when you complete a mission) and I should feel like I’m accomplishing something, but I don’t because I’m never going to play as this person again and they kill everything that isn’t a Screaper in 1-3 hits anyways.
Also the Screaper battles kind of annoy me, just because they take so long to kill. That’s probably just a side-effect of that wasting time feeling though.
But otherwise it’s the game I really wished FF12 had been. That is to say, it’s better than FF12 even though it’s got some similar stuff going on. The skill plate system isn’t as complex as I thought it’d be after you find out what all the different stuff means. Although it’s kind of overwhelming given the rate you obtain skill plates! I always feel like I could be boosting my skill-learning efficiency.
I feel like I’ll really get into it when I start playing as Haschen or whatever the guy’s name is.
Also Dr. Randall fights with motherfuckin’ cards. If he didn’t inexplicably have a British accent, he’d be ballin’.
edit: And it doesn’t particularly feel like Growlanser, minus the art, but that’s okay I guess.

Yep, you did respond despite your busy-ness. I’m gonna play this a bit today at least enough to finish Seldous’.
So are you past Randall? He’s the second scenario right? I heard Haschen is like 5th! So it’ll be a while before him…

Yeah, I’m halfway through the third scenario, I think.
This one is going pretty fast though because every non-Screaper I’ve fought died in a single hit. It’s almost like playing a beat ’em up now, lolol
Have you been grinding a lot? It’s kinda relaxing to just hit AI and watch them maul the enemies in any given area.

Nah, I just rush through the areas. I’ll probably start grinding when I get to the main scenario though.
Also I should probably use AI Battling more often, especially as Rockbein with his ballin’ attacks.
Isaac has really long legs, he should be in the NBA game with Barkley and Kenny Skywalker

Another good scene is when he returns to see Vanette had a baby. "I’ve had a name in mind for a while actually…Krious"…

I can’t tell if the dialogue is so awful because they fucked it up or because they knew it’d be hilarious, but either way it’s made me laugh several times!
edit: those scenes would make excellent ytmnds!
Also hilarious is that Isaac says "I’ve see you around other people Seldous, and you get awkward." and then when it’s just him and Vanette he’s all "well maybe if you want to marry me I guess I don’t know okay I’m a horrible husband I’m a failure please love me ='("
Yep it’s one of those games that is just hilarious unintentionally I think.
Seldous’ last battle was pretty intense, they put the fire out a few times and I almost died at the very end running away as the enemies were sending arrows and magic at him.

I thought Krious was going to be Haschen or whatever. I figured Seldous’ kid would be the main character.
Running around with Randall currently. I dunno about his physical attacks but he has so many magic spells to start with so I think I’ll stick with those.

I was so relieved when he said Krious.
Yea well he had been thinking about a name for a long time.
Beat my first screaper with Randall. You’re right, they take forever. I had someone attacking it the whole battle while a few other characters managed to defeat all the other enemies on the battlefield, and the Screaper lasted another 10 minutes after that.

Why don’t they let you stay in that bed? Randall says there are too many monsters around but even when I clear that floor he says that.
