You can also load Suiko II data into Suiko III (have to transfer the file to a PS2 mem card). Not nearly as many extras though, but it will at least carry over country names and such (like if you named the castle in Suiko I "Kennywalkerland" or something, and then load Suiko I to Suiko II and load Suiko II to Suiko III, everyone will still be calling it Kennywalkerland.)

Yep it’s true. You can load Suiko I data on Suiko II…is that it though? I think it probably is besides loading Suiko IV data on Suiko Tactics

It is. The transition between Suikoden I and Suikoden II in general was flawless.

Also, for the few characters that comes back from Suiko 2, they’ll come back with 3/4 of the levels they had (If they were 99… 75!)

Who all comes back? Flik, Viktor, Luc, Lorelai, Futch and Humphrey? Maybe there are some others it affects.
