Haha I love that cheesy lava dragon. I played through that game quick some time in the last year or so and took emu pics throughout. I should post them some time.

Seriously. It's like one of the only Zelda games to not get over a 9/10, and I just know why. >_> It won't let me do what I want unless I'm 100% accurate in my touch. (heh that sounded somewhat weird) And the evil trains are just shit. This is set after WW and PH, obviously, but why don't we have horses?! Or at least pigs to ride. (heh weird again)

People jerk it to Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask but I really couldn't find anything in them. I absolutely hate this shiznizzle where they start you out in a town and have to do errands for everyone.
Zelda 2 has stuff like "Link, save my child" or "Link, retrieve for me this object of value which was stolen from me" and that's something tolerable. Then somewhere along the lines it because "Yo, Link, my girlfriend i going to kill me for forgetting my anniversary, go pick me some flowers pronto and I'll give you 1/420th of a heart!" and you only do that because you're a completest asshole robot slave!
You have to remember, though; the very thing that makes you a nerd is that your enthusiasms are totally unrelatable and non-marketable to most of the world. For example, anime and celibacy. - Seanbaby

August 7, 2010 at 12:16 am #37263NiahakModeratorWhile I hate to disagree with Mount & Blade being the best anything, "Zelda" might be a bit of a stretch.
You still do have to do some pretty inane tasks early in M&B ("We have no cattle! Find us cattle!"), unless you go all hardcore trading at the beginning to get the equipment to fight sea raiders…
August 7, 2010 at 12:42 am #37264Lord Yuan ShuKeymasterOh the train mechanic is so terrible. Basically you have one or two options and you have to hope and guess that the one you're going down doesn't have an enemy. And the progress is SO slow.
And yes even the in-battle mechanics are really bad. Tough to control and in a Zelda game that's very key.

August 8, 2010 at 9:16 pm #37267LinkParticipantBy the way, why are all the links in the LYS guide for this game redirecting to Amazon instead of giving us images? o.O
