I losted the links sadly but i’m sending you them through gmail, hope you enjoy these weird mods i found…the “DoaE2 sequel” has lots of tricks like Star Weapon = Attack Twice and acessories to attack Twice + star weapon = attack 4 times! And change your party in the billeting store on game beggining because your 4th and 5th characters will suck ;-; i can give hints if you get stuck, here i go sending them

Wish I knew Japanese – I have the menus memorized but no idea what items I am getting from treasure chests or who the generals are (other than the obvious ones like Lu Bu, Diao Chan, Guan Yu, etc). Played the DoaE 2 Wang Yun mod for a bit – got wiped out in the field against some generals with 1700 soldiers (I’m at 200) and then the first boss fight is against Guan Yu – Zhang Fei – Liu Bei :).

Huo Hu's Adventure started Destiny of an Emperor hackingThe difficulty is high on these mods, comparable to Rise of Lu Bu 3.0 but they are funny to play when you get used to it, here are some hints:
Sword = Name end with a “L” like letter
Spear = with a “py”-like letters
Saber = “Teto”
Bow = has a tornado like symbol

Regrettably it seems like Kongming’s Archives and SOSZ are (mostly) gone. I’ve been on a (very slow) crusade over the past year to resurrect a couple of sites I’ve worked on before and dragged them back online, so I know the effort involved in a revamp and troubleshooting issues as they arise. That’s brought me on a trip down memory lane – looking over some of the side projects I used to have time for and want to make time for again someday as the kids grow up. I still prefer the more personal touch of small forums/blogs to subreddits or discord channels, but I’ll probably be lurking wherever people are. Kudos to everyone keeping the fires burning on the site and these ongoing projects.
No problem, always happy to see some of the originals swing by. Lordyuanshu.com definitely had some lean years; terrible host bogging it down, forum probs, haven’t done a guide in years (main source of content), etc. Forum still isn’t perfect and I kinda miss the OG phpBB version. But managing/upgrading forums is a huge undertaking, though it helps that it’s just a WordPress plugin. Yet I felt really good in 2020 when Junsuijin and I got this site upgraded and on a nicer server. This site still churns out 1000 visitors a day somehow so it is still a bandwidth hog.
I’m in the Facebook “group” for Scholars of Shen Zhou, no one really posts there although someone did post a few months back and James replied saying he’s been looking into fixing stuff. I had heard that a year or two ago also though so who knows. That site has a lot of history to it and was around years before LYS so hope to see it back on track whenever he can find the time. It’s awesome you got VideoLamer back up with some of the originals back posting.
I’m with you on supporting the small forums. Discord and social media action are nice for growing interest in DoaE and convenient but of course I’m a little bit selfish and I want all the action going on the forum.
