ModeratorUse the upper-right Cao Cao pic, but for Niu Jin or someone; it's just not epic enough for Cao Cao.
Sun Quan you should use the right pic.

ModeratorTalk about a mixed bag
Quote:cao cao – bottom leftsun quan – right
ahh, that was my original cao cao, but thought I'd take a shot at revamping him and Sun Quan.
Quote:Give the left one the eyes and background of the right one and that would be best.thats the problem, the smaller pic eyes are extremely difficult to adjust and not look goofy which is why i've resorted to larger portraits… theyre just easier
Is the reason you like the younger Sun Quan b/c of the sword? I can probably add one… or just the pic altogether?
Quote:it's just not epic enough for Cao Cao.What would be more epic? Like an ROTK 11 similar one? or…

ModeratorBy "more epic" I mean something that sticks out more. It's not a bad picture, but it just seems somewhat generic. With pictures like this, it seems as if Wei has at least a dozen guys that rank — even though they only have one that rank at a time!
You should either give him a pimped out helmet (he IS the most powerful man in china….) or a nice fancy hat (since he's not normally out campaigning personally!).
EDIT: Compare these pictures:

Even if you haven't played DoaE for a single second (or watched anyone play it), two of the four just seem to stick out more; you should do the same!

ParticipantWhy not base Cao Cao's off of the DoaE version so he has the cool long hair? :p

ModeratorIt's not the zoom, it's the limited number of pixels.

ParticipantCao Cao-Bottom Left
Quan- Hmm, well either one would work tbh but if you're going for a headshot portrait for everyone then the one on the right would be better.

Quote:It's not the zoom, it's the limited number of pixels.Exactly, eyes make or break it sometimes, and they're really hard to get "right" sometimes.
Quote:Cao Cao-Bottom LeftLet me know what you think of the new one…

More epic? I based it off of the ROTK 11 portrait

ModeratorFlames seem to be popular on these portraits :huohu:

ParticipantIts always cooler when they have some sort of background behind them, makes them look even more unique.
But since hes such an evil douche its more fitting to have a fiery background lol.
June 21, 2012 at 8:57 pm #42885DragonAtma
ModeratorActually, Cao Cao wasn't evil; the novel merely came out when a pro-shu empepror was in office, and since wei was shu's biggest enemy…

ParticipantPerhaps, but he definitely was one hell of a manipulator.
Personally I like his approach anyway.
