Anyways, I was wondering something about encounters that would be a good coding idea…
Okay, so leading your party with a High Int. person is ideal b/c it helps you to defend vs. negates… and leading with a stupid person is bad. Well, what if encounters were based on STR so as to give a reason to lead with those guys? High str = low encounters

ParticipantI'd probably still lead with the High INT general for random encounters with An Sha+Negate groups.
Plus you never want to avoid battles really, I've been trying to get myself not to save state my way through everything lol.
What about…..Making melee tactics work more often if the person using them is leading? although thats probably impossible to code, same as making the enemy focus the top person more thereby discouraging having low health INT generals at the front.

ParticipantOh, totally unrelated but I was curious, with that dragon I saw, have you put any thought into ripping the Orochi sprite from DOAE2 and using it along with your custom picture?
Just thought that might make it more…..Complete I guess you could say? lol.

ModeratorThought about it, and actually I was thinking about making an "Orochi" themed DOAE mod, but the general consensus was that people felt a Wu Mod was more necessary. Granted, I can put my own kind of spin on it :)

ModeratorHeh, yeah that was what I was thinking, but first I've got to get somewhere near to wrapping this game up. I've been stuck on Chapter 6 ideas and flow for quite some time, granted I've been spending so much time working on sprites and portraits that most of my time has been focused there.
Also been trying to come up with ways to differ the stock DOAE story line so as to make this mod more unique.

ModeratorI'll def do the power pill tactic but A.I. comes first when I get back!
Also thinking of making the A.I. INT based so that generals with INT >= 180 don't waste turns. This number will be changeable of course. You could set it higher to not break older mods.

Yes, we know that pretty much every guy in ancient china grew a beard and moustache, but we're so used to beardless Zhao Yun that him having a beard feels as weird as Darth Benedict campaigning to legalize gay marriage.
