For some reason, Advisor types are so much easier to draw than warriors. Armor is just hard. Black hair and beards are easy. Fa Zheng coming at ya!

Glad to hear it. Yeah, site issues coupled with a bill at the end of the month makes it a tough sell, especially since youtube can provide a free alternative to such things.
I'm hoping to have this released some time in the next few months, but I'm still waiting on a bug-fix from MiDKnighT that will correct a freezing issue in battle that happens 'rarely'. It is what is also keeping Rise of Ieyasu 2.0 from officially being released as well.
At any rate, I'm implementing lots of new game changes that will break from the other DOAE mods in terms of recruitment, story, and chapters are all over the place. I'm also trying to make the maps more unique, but still recognizable, with cash playing a much bigger part than other mods. Keep tuned in! At any rate, want to help with portraits? :D
it take using a program like paint and things have to be recolored. I'll show you an example, one sec
NES colors have to be the exact colors as the pic below in order to import correctly. Here is an example I did with the colors we need:
This is what it looks like in game once imported:
As you can see:
Green = Pale white
Blue = Reddish
Black = Black
White = Any palette color I choose, in this case purple, or red, or gray.
Potraits MUST be 48×48 PIXELS, which seems really small (and it is) so it makes it VERY hard to make detailed pictures with so few pixels, but it IS doable. Atma also works really well with this microscopic picture editing so he could probably also offer you some pointers if you're looking to help out with some DOAE portraits. A good portrait you may spend 30+ minutes on though per portrait.
Here, threw together a Wu Tugu just for giggles using the blue, green, black, and white for colored areas :)
