Any luck with that rom MiDKnight? I tried putting in that new code that you said fixed it, but no brass tacks for me… unless I needed to start a new game for it to work correctly?

ModeratorUpdate on the Flames of Wu Mod!:
So MiDKnighT has currently been working on an enhancement to increase the size of the ROM to 4x its original size, which means much more room for new enhancements, portraits, battle systems improvements, story, and more! Niahak is also working to make this process easier by integrating the new features into DOAEditor
I seem to be the professional bug finder and tester of the new improvements :P Now that some major bug issues have been resolved, progress on Chapter 8 and 9 will now continue! More to come soon…

ModeratorWhat a surprise… a NEW LU BU PORTRAIT!
Over the course of practicing new Lu Bu portraits, you might notice the improvements in my DOAE portrait editing. The first portrait I made was truly laughable in comparison with some of the later work.
Timeline of Lu Bu portraits:

ModeratorWow that Yuan Shao portrait is pretty sweet.
Did you delete the last Zhou Tai update? I was going to say I liked this one the best:

ModeratorYeah, now it's a matter of how I'm going to use it since I don't think Wu ever fought with Yuan Shao. Might need to pick at Atma's ROTK expertise to find that one out.

I did as I wasn't sure if I was going to stick with the portrait but I guess that's a vote to keep it.

ModeratorQuote:Yeah, now it's a matter of how I'm going to use it since I don't think Wu ever fought with Yuan Shao. There is historical precedence for this that I used in my Yuan Shao mod but the problem is it is pretty early history wise but you could figure out a way to incorporate it later I presume. Read about these:
Yuan Shao vs Sun Jian (Sun Jian working for Yuan Shu at the time)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Yangcheng
Liu Biao vs Sun Jian (Liu Biao supported Yuan Shao at the time)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Xiangyang_(191)
Also note that Sun Jian died in the battle of Xiangyang. So as you can see there's a precedent for bad blood between Wu and Yuan Shao.

ModeratorYuan Shao was not in the battle of Xiangyang; he was definitely in the battle of Yangcheng, though, and Sun Jian defeated (but didn't kill) one of Yuan Shao's officers, Zhou Renming (or possibly one of his brothers, Zhou Xin or Zhou Ang) several times. To my knowledge, the only high-ranked officer to die in the battle was Gongsun Yue… and we all know what that lead to.

Participanti can't decide whether this update is good or bad, because i just want this mod to be done so i can play it! :)

Does it matter if it's near Jingzhou? That's the best I can do with the current set-up of the game b/c Yuan territory is not an option with the current map configuration.
Quote:i can't decide whether this update is good or bad, because i just want this mod to be done so i can play it! :)Heh, yeah I know the feeling which is why I'm pushing to get the final chapter done with some finishing touches on areas I haven't modified the map on at all. It'd be terrible to have the whole map modified only to go to an area that looks EXACTLY the same as the original. So I'm working on that now which is pretty time consuming. But no worries, I hope to be done…. soon? :P
