ParticipantSo what would you prefer? You want me to play the current one through or start over with the new one?

KeymasterYea, I would just start over and work your way through the changes. Don't have to post the stuff you already have, but there will be new characters. And many characters you didn't use before might seem more useful to you with higher (fixed) soldier counts. An overall better experience pretty much.
It's your choice though, as you've already played through Dong Zhuo's realm. Just saying, you'll get the newest update with all the new characters like Deng Qian, improved Huang Quan / Wang Lei / Liu Gui / Leng Bao, etc.

ParticipantI'll start over with new photos, how about that?

KeymasterWell that's what I mean, just new photos of the stuff that is different in this version of the mod. You won't need to get pictures of things that you already put up.

Song Yong replacement. Look at those soldiers!
So, I've finished the Yellow Turbans section, never using Zhang Yi in battle.

Did he get… lower stats?
LYS, good job on Liu Zhang's sprite and white avatar. But about Zhang Bao, he should have been a threat with Ye Huo.

The Yang Jin replacement. Wonderful!

KeymasterYea, I might have put Liu Zhang's stats down a little. Also, the sprite for him is new and makes him look weak, which is good.
Leng Bao has more use now that he has 399 soldiers.

ParticipantYes, the Liu Bei sprite did make Liu Zhang seem like a well-built officer.
Did you fix most of the officers' soldier counts?

KeymasterBasically I did it like the original Destiny of an Emperor, where the 'main' members have growing soldier counts (like Zhang Ren, Wu Yi, Yan Yan, etc). The other officers I gave fixed soldier counts, since their STR / INT isn't as good as the top of the line officers, having higher soldier counts (for a while at least) increases their value.

ParticipantI think people like Huang Quan should have over 200 INT.

KeymasterFair enough. What is he at now, 190-something?
I try to keep it on par with the rest of the RTK officers, and if it's an early recruit I tend to keep the stats low so that they aren't too powerful. Huang Quan seems smart from what I've read, certainly deserving of one of the highest INT's in Liu Zhang's group. That said, let's face it, Liu Zhang's group has a bunch of mediocre advisors (think Romance of the Three Kingdoms – most Liu Zhang advisor-types have 80-85 intelligence, with really only Fa Zheng distinguishing himself).
So that's my thought process for having it what it is. Fa Zheng has a Zhu Ge Liang-type INT, but that is only because he is the 'main' tactician, so I fudge a little bit. If I was being fair it'd probably be around 225-235 (like James has for Fa Zheng's INT in DoaE 2.0).

ParticipantHuang Quan has 195 INT. And maybe you could give him good stats even from the beginning along with levelling soldiers so that he is like an early tiger. There's no rule that the five best officers should be recruited from their original locations. And anyway, 80-85/100 is like 215 INT or something, I think.
How about making the game really really historical sometime in the future and making it a challenge? Like at the final battle, where Fa Zheng is 235 INT and Sima Yi is 250.

ParticipantIt's been a long time since I've uploaded my photos. Well, there's been a huge gap, but I'll just jump straight to where I am now… the final battle.

This is definitely the most difficult mod that I have ever played, though it was really enjoyable.
Maybe some feedback from me… I understand that the characters were given stats as close to their actual capabilities in history, but really, most of the guys have sucky stats. =.= I cannot believe how many times I've had to survive a battle with two people just because of An Sha. Fa Zheng's 250 INT, NOT 255, was actually fun in the terms of feeling like I have an equal rivalry with Sima Yi. But Liu Zhang. I only used Liu Zhang for the final photograph, man, just for the storyline thing, and used Lei Tong up to the point. Liu Zhang is basically a useless meatbag.
But other than the two things above, this mod was awesome. I especially enjoyed the more difficult parts with Liu Bei and Wei, and how Cao Cao and Jiang Wei were placed in the final battle.
