PS3 from what I hear is now outselling the 360 since they cut down the price of the ps3, and the 360 still has its hardware problems (Rrod). Along with that, the xbox 360 only sold $8 million on it’s first year despite having a AAA title "Gears of War". The PS3 sold $10 million on it’s first year with no AAA titles, and now it’s getting AAA titles (mgs4, etc.).
Honestly, I don’t want to see the 360 die out since that’s the main competition for sony and it’s what makes the video game market run so good.
I’m just glad the 360 people can’t deny PS3 is making progress. All the Xboy fans thought they were the shit the last few years when the PS3 wasn’t doing anything and the 360 was putting out a new FPS every day…but considering the PS3 didn’t have any games, Xbox was competing against themselves as far as next gen is concerned (I consider Wii in the PS2 generation)

Huo Hu's Adventure started Destiny of an Emperor hackingI totally agree with you, man. They try to save face with games like bioshock, mass effect, forza motorsport 2, Halo 3, and gears of war. I bet you anything Too Human will be Bioshock except as a third person shooter.
Still though…I don’t want to see it die out so as to preserve competition in the game market, not because I’m a 360 fanboy (Plus I have a brand new 360 elite now, so the wii and ds is left and I’ll have all consoles of this generation).
Any platform that carries DW and RTK games deserves to live, so hopefully microsoft gets its act together.
Well I’d hardly call xbox the primary platform for KOEI games…they’ve always been ‘the other’ platform that carries DW games (they never carried the DW expansions in the PS2 days anyway). I don’t even know if they carry straight RTK games…

But about the 360, yeah they are competing against themselves. The only thing which boosted sales for the 360 is the games, and even so, the ps3 sold more on its first year than the 360 did on its first year. Plus, HD DVD is dead, and microsoft is now trying to get blu ray on their 360’s.
Most likely as some kind of add-on you have to buy separately. Though to be honest, Microsoft should have started preparing for the the moment the porn industry announced it was going with Blu-Ray, cause evreyone knows the porn industry controls the world now.
You guys do realize that this is only for 2 months, right? The PS3 is still a very distant 3rd place right now. Still, I can say it beating the 360 due to more variety of games. I can buy every single 360 "exclusive" for the PC and run it at higher resolution and frame rate. Although the same could be said about the PS3. Unreal Tournament my ass, I can muster much higher frame rate than both PS3 and 360 combined.
I just don’t see a need to get a new system right now because they don’t really offer enough to justify the price for me. I’ll stick with my PS2 for another year or so.
Ya there really is no reason to buy a next generation system yet. And the sales show it’s really not even that generation yet at all with DS, Wii, and Ps2 dominating (all current gen imo).
The one thing that’s really bugging me is no announcement for Suikoden VI. I’d be pissed if that wasn’t on PS3, having already bought the system.
