In the next version, field battles are in another less complex way, but I didn’t touch the first one, because it took me a long time to make the script, and I want to let the efforts I tried to make as a show, so the first battle is easy, very easy, if you follow the instructions. I’ll try to bring a screenshot of one of the new field battles.

That’s what the new field battles looks like, now I’ll get screenshots for city battles. Of course, there are now random encounters, all against soldiers.

That’s an easy field battle in fact, because other field battles will lead you underground. (This field and city battle examples have been taken from Wu Du.)

In west Shuuuuu born and raised. on a battlefeild is where i spend most of my days.Battling killing all thoes fools when a couple of guys they where up to no good. started making trouble in my neighborhood. i got in 1 little duel and my mom got scared, and said ur moving with ur uncle and aunt to Wu Zhang Plains.I wistled for a carraige and when it came near he had on green with some dice in the rear.if anything i could say to this guy was where but i thought na forget it yo hommie to Wu Zhang.i pulled up to the castle about around 7 or 8 and i yelled to the carriage drive yo home smell ya later. look at my kingdom i was finally there. time to sit on my throne as the prince of Wu Zhang.

I’ll be working on this game as soon as I get the time. As I’ve finished school for now, I’ll be able to complete Chapter 4 and 5 to release the second demo.

Not sure I understand what’s going on in those strategy screens. How do you use the generic soldier units?

The generic soldier is an NPC, he is computer controlled, so don’t try to understand him.

I have finished this game… but with some cheat when in "endless desert " (before the last battle).
Well, it’s hard enough to find the way to zhang shiao palace.
So I opened RPGMAKER 2K, and find it through there… :D
Did you figure out about sharpened sword in Yong An blackmith?
You know… it just like buy a sword without have to unequip liu meng’s iron sword… and can get as much as possible till we run out of money…

I haven’t had time to re-edit the game, because I’m going trough Suikoden 1, which I finally got an imager to image the disk. After I finish the first, I’ll probably go and re-edit it. I think I was about to do a field battle in nan zhong.
About the blacksmith: He’s in Ba… And please, you do not need more than 2 Sharpened sword, in chapter 2 you’ll get much better swords…
About the "endless" desert: The solution is simple: Read the mountain. Go up. That’s already a VERY big hint.

I’d suggest using different, matching portraits. Take some from an old Rot3K game or even the DoaE games themselves.
Also, make sure to check your spelling and grammar. I noticed some mistakes…
If somebody could make them for me, I’d be grateful. But remember this game isn’t in the Three Kingdoms era, it’s 4000 years later.
You know how the portraits in RPGM2000 works? I don’t have much time for using photoshop right now, so if somebody has the time and courage to gather portraits from doae1 and 2, rotk 1 to… let’s say 10, I’d be grateful. Don’t have to get all portraits (it would take millenium, except for a photoshop maniac) but the important ones, I’d be grateful. If somebody wants to do it, he’ll have his name in the credits (once I get there) and I’ll also send him a draft of what kind of portrait image he needs to do this. (NOTE: If you have RPGM2000, you don’t need the draft).

If I remember right, the import files only need to be a bitmap file of a certain size.
Of course, each face portrait needs to be the same size as the RTP ones if you want them to look ok.
That’s the reason for photoshop. I don’t remeber if it’s bmp, of png format, I’ll have to check.

OK, Finally took my time back into editing that game, so I’ve just completed the battle at Jiang Ling and one of the battles in Nan Zhong.
For thoses who might have found an error message while downloadind the files for the 1st version, this is because my host was re-editing his domain name, sorry for the inconveniences.
