Zhang Lu
ParticipantHe’s in Wu, you’re just not having any luck finding him.
You’re running into Da Qiao instead of Lu Xun, me thinks :P

Participantam very interested in the level of experience you’d get…

ParticipantI’m hoping in the next update I can put Da Qiao and Xiao Qiao into a boss battle. Maybe I’ll replace the two advisors in the Hui Ji fortress battle with the Qiao Sisters. It’d make sense since they’d be fighting alongside Zhou Yu :)
Of course, that would mean that the Qiaos cannot have 40,000 + soldiers. They’d probably have around 4k, and gain soldiers at level up just like Zhou Yu does.

ParticipantBring an intelligence heavy group. You CAN An Sha Sima Shi and Sima Zhao.
Zhou Yu, Zhang Zhao, and Lu Meng help tremendously. You can also use Jia Xu if you think you can An Sha one of them on the first try, as he will not survive a physical attack from any of them :P
You could also make a case for using Huo Hu as your tactician here, and putting Chen Gong in battle. I don’t though, because then you have to see the annoyance that is Chen Go ng <_<
I have a party for you with this in mind…
Chen Gong
Zhou Yu
Zhang Zhao
Deng Ai
Lu Xun (If you don’t have him, Cheng Pu or Li Ru will do just fine)
*Huo Hu
Lu Bu :P
If you feel the need to have 4 tactic-strong bruisers…can I suggest this instead?
Sun Quan
Deng Ai
Zhou Yu
Lu LingQi
Huo Hu
*Zhang Zhao (learns Huo Shen and An Sha)
Chen Gong

Participantyou got me. i’ve always been the bruiser kind of guy, although i prefer them to have higher iq’s, as well. which is why zhang bao is ignored.
the higher iq guys got me a victory over sima yi until zhuge zapped my ass. here’s my studs…
huo hu
lu xun
gao shun
zhou yu
sun quan
*deng ai
helped me lob the heads off of the sima’s.

ParticipantI also prefer to be an attacker, spells aren’t my kind of thing normally.

Participantwell…i beat it! what a terrific game!! i am very impressed with the variety of generals you can add and that level up. it seems that you can get a high iq or a tank group or a good blend. either way, a lot of options are available. i think it’s more fun to pick and choose.
wonderfully done zhang!!

ParticipantOkay, I’m making a revised 2.0 version of this ROM. I plan on replacing a few generals and putting new ones in to take their place. Plus, I plan on updating some general stats.
General Replacement
Zhang Yan —> Tian Chou (210/175)
Yang Feng —> Cheng Bing (30/190)
Yu She —> Xu Zhu (250/50)
Xue Lan —> Pang De (235/200)
Zang Ba —> Zhang Yan (moving Zang Ba into Liu Biao region, replacing Su Fei)
Liu Dai —> ??? (Liu Dai is disappearing entirely)
Why am I giving you the chance to recruit Xu Zhu? Well, Cao Cao gets eliminated soon after, and we’re altering history here, so we’re going to act as if Cao Cao never pursued Xu Zhu…and that Ding Yuan took advantage. Also, Cheng Bing joins early, and can be your tactician early on so that you get the maximum possible points.
For a fun challenge, hire Xu Zhu, then dismiss him…then hope you NEVER run into him in a random encounter. He would kill you on the spot. Trust me. *evil grin*
Also, I hope to figure out why some generals with high INT cannot use tactics.

ParticipantThis edition is fun! though I’ve just started. The random encounters are much much more and can be quite frustrating. I ever encountered enemies for every step that I took and met generals like Cao Zhang, Guo Jia etc. They make my generals look like weaklings even though all of them have strength above 200.
On a side note, I do realise that a lot of members here are obsessed with Huo Hu  I guess it’s got something to do with his powder?? :D

KeymasterI can imagine what our Huo Hu love looks like on the outside for those who don’t understand. But you should play the Wei DoaE mod to get some backstory on Huo Hu

ParticipantOh as in the DoaE2 Wei mod? I would love to but I thought since it’s in Jap I won’t get to enjoy it as much.
