Oh that’s not that far to restart. This is one of those games I played through like 10-15 times so I guess I won’t mind doing it again but getting a somewhat new adventure. The cutscenes look pretty nice.
And I’ll believe the lag when I see it. I’ve heard it’s improved but is still noticeable.
I guess we have very different perceptions of "playing a game for 12 hours", because that’s pretty rare for me!

also the remake looks sweet (Dark Knight, Balthier, and an intelligible translation? fuck yeah!) but I don’t want to start over since my Chapter 2 save on my PSX emulator has about 12 hours put into it and Ramza is level 20-something

What I loved about that game is that some of the quests were really open ended and you could do anything right away (Blue, Lute) while others were more linear (Emilia, Red, Riki, pretty much everyone else)
Yeah, SaGa Frontier was a pretty sweet game. I also liked who there was a higher degree of customizability in Blue because you could decide which schools of magic he’d master.
