Hello everyone, I decided to register to this GREAT site and tell you all how damn giddy with excitement I am.
I first played DOAE shortly after it was released, about 1990.
I feel in love with it. Played it non stop, couldn’t figure out how to get into Shu. I literally spent months trying to figure it out. My generals had over 5000 soldiers when i finally realized where Chi Zhou Pings(sp) house was. I can still remember that day ^^. Oh ya, this whole time I was renting the game! Spent soooo much money renting it over and over again.
Years later a friend of mine got his hand on the cartridge, ordered it from some video game mag. I (gladly) traded him FIVE SNES games(when SNES was the best system, around ’95) for the game. I still have the cartridge too.
Anyway, i have beaten the game hundreds of times. With only 3 generals, no armor, no random battles etc. Basically anything that would make it more challenging.
Finding this site has been a dream. I’ve beaten the Huo Hu mod and the Liu Zhang mod so far and loving every second of it. Still got a few more to go
Destiny of an Emperor has been, and always will be my favorite game ever!!
