Haschen Scenario
This is the main quest. After Fanille’s quest completion you will begin the intro to Haschen’s journey.
Decide his name and as soon as it begins you will be thrusted into battle. What you choose here decides Haschen’s direction in general and class title.
Haschen’s Trial
As you head left you’ll soon see a female villager being hounded by an enemy. You are granted simple magic, so you can attack or use magic. Every decision you come across, and the manner in which you do battle, will affect how you are ranked. I’ll choose the route of Great Savior since that seems to be the righteous way to go.
Attack the Insector attacking the little boy and then use Cure on the little boy before killing it. Then talk to the little boy and he’ll offer to race you – catch him immediately, it shouldn’t be hard as long as you get the jump on him.
Now talk to the old lady in the northeast and offer to get some medicine for her. She wants the cheapest you can find. Also there is a chance after this that Aimee at the beach will scream and you’ll have two more Insectors to deal with. However, you do not want this scene to happen quite yet.
Go to the southeast part of town and get the medicine for 6 mil. Return it to the old juju lady and she will be pleased. Now knock on the green door west of her for an Antidote Herb from the guy inside. Then knock on the next door west of that for Analepticum.
Go east to the beach for Aimee and give her the Analepticum. Then tell her you’ve kept up on your studies. Answer the following – highest spell / knack level is Lv9, Weapons and Armor produce Plates, items are instantaneous, Plates outside the flow retain 50 percent, and Henlouda corrects Petrification. You will acquire a Vulnerary for doing this right.
Time to visit Rasche. Head west back into the village, and then south to the outside of it. Speak with Rasche and hand over the Antidote Herb. He then asks you more questions, like Aimee. Choose ATK, STR, 2 Accessories, Temporarily Stunned, and Bizen is Rockbein’s Lance.
Now when you go back to the village, Aimee will scream at the beach. Quickly run over there, and just Cure her as she fights the two Insectors. Haschen should gain Quick Use here.
Once they are defeated, Aimee says you should go outside of the village and check out Rasche. Run back and then south outside of the village to see two more Insectors. Just use Cure. Back in the village a Giant is destroying everything.
Careful here because this Giant takes off a high amount of damage. Quickly run up and attack it to gain it’s attention so the villagers can begin to leave.
This is the end of the trial. You will be awarded a title, hopefully Great Savior if you followed the strategies above. There are also Fierce Striker, Mighty Crusher, and Astute Fencer.
You will see Haschen’s stats and then will acquire Antidote Herb, Vulnerary, and Plate: Cure.
The Real Game
Aimee wakes Haschen up. Rasche is leaving Warslee today. Go visit him at the beach once you get out of the house.
He is talking to some smaller girl. After speaking with Rasche ask him if he will miss the kids and then reassure him that things will be okay. Go to the Inn for a bit, save your game, then leave. In the southwest house (your house) you will see no one, but leave to find Aimee. Bring her to the Inn and Rasche will be ready.
Haschen Mission 1
You will hear screams, so rush outside. A Pawn Screaper has attacked the village. Rasche and Aimee hold it off while you kill the Slimes and Insectors for EXP. Eventually all the villagers will retreat and the Pawn Screaper will go down.
Unfortunately, after this two Knight Screapers come in. They will make short work of Haschen.
Rio Rey
Haschen wakes up in bed. A lady gives him Medication. Afterwards Melvina introduces herself as Commander Isaac’s Adjutant in the PMB. You are then informed on your situation after the Knight Screaper attack. Ask questions but you are really left with nothing but to respond sorrowfully. Melvina then joins the party.
Outside of here, Haschen is introduced to Rio Rey. Assure him that he’ll be back soon. Then talk to Rasche’s Dad and ask him about Rasche. He is unsure of what happened.
Buy what you can at the weapon and armor shop. You should be able to get some decent upgrades for Haschen.
Belshade Prison
Fight some battles along the way to the PMB Prison. You will remember how to get here since you just played Fanille’s Quest – just go south of Rio Rey and then east.
Not much to do here but talk with Melvina and assure her the day will come. Speak with the guard but you’ll see the door is shut, so leave Belshade.
Haschen Mission 2
Fight some more enemies as you traverse south a bit and then east a few screens. You’ll reach some enemies, but also a girl, PMB Soldier and Krious. The little girl gets herself in an even worse situation shortly after.
Rush up to her to start killing off the enemies surrounding her. You may need to Cure her with Melvina to ensure she survives. Tougher enemies like LV 7 Horned Dingos appear to the northeast and a few lesser ones to the southeast – mop them up and the battle will be over. You should be around level 4 after this battle is finished.
The girl runs off, and Krious inquires about Haschen. Isaac’s kid and Seldous’ kid meeting up. Head on east and north to Warslee afterwards.
Warslee Village
Say yes that you’d like to explore the town, and then take a nap and save. Go to the beach, cast your highest attack magic, and then assault the 5 or so Slimes. After they are killed, search the beach for Twin Lance and a Time Capsule. Return to the bed and sleep until morning.
Answer the door and Melvina comes in. Sleep some more, and then you’ll be woken up by an animal. Tell this to Krious and then it’ll be time to go outside and battle.
Haschen Mission 3
As you get outside, a gigantic Imp and Insector approach, and a Pawn Screaper. Get near the Pawn Screaper and it seems Haschen’s presence near the Screaper is causing the enemy to falter. Just attack a few times then defend, and you may want to use a Cure 2 or 3 on Haschen just in case. Meanwhile, Melvina and Krious should be able to take out the Imp and Insector fast enough.
Unfortunately plenty of enemies come to reinforce the initial set. Make sure you take them all out and then go after the Screaper. It will take a while and your MP will be depleted surely. You will acquire a Ravas Stone at the end.
Rio Rey Village
Rest up at Warslee and save. You’ll see the strange blonde girl as you leave.
Back in Rio Rey, you’ll probably need to rest again. Then go see Aimee at the hospital in the left part of town. Tell her to leave it to you. Warslee for the mean time though will be abandoned in case a Screaper were to attack again.
Outside of Rio Rey, you should begin making your way to the PMB Headquarters. As you near it (the area that has the Naton Tree), you should clear it and then search the tree for a Naton Fruit.
As you near home, you’ll be introduced to the Admonisher by Krious. Ask him the middle question about the quality of life near the PMB HQ, but he’ll tell you that they still need Warslee and Rio Rey for crops and such.
PMB Headquarters
After the long trek home you’ll surely want to rest. But you won’t have time as Krious leaves, and Melvina says to follow her to the PMB Base.
Do so and you’ll reach Commander Isaac’s office. Knock on the door and you’ll speak to Isaac, OPS Division Commander. Outside, Melvina will hand you your PMB ID. This is obviously important for Haschen.
Fanille’s Lab
Leave the PMB Headquarters to the town area. Go to Fanille’s Lab and greet her.
Near Fanille’s Lab is the research area where Irving is. He tells you about his animal research, and that if you find any decent critter’s be sure to report back to him.
Now go to the Inn. You’ll get a Continent Map after you check in, and then Melvina is there to say hello in the morning.
As you get outside you’ll see Rufus speaking with Lieutenant General Wolgainer. They are from Grangale, a country that doesn’t like the PMB much.
Council Hall
Head north and enter the Council Hall. You’ll hear Krious and Sherris arguing. Speak with Krious a few times to get him to join you. Go around and meet Sherris of Cyriltia, Vittorio of Neylern, and then General Wolgainer of Grangale. Other diplomats are around the room. Krious leaves as you exit.
You will see Fanille and Elessa outside. Strange things are going on and it seems something is about to happen – Fanille asks to join Haschen and wishes to speak to Commander Isaac.
As you reach the gate, Haschen and Fanille explain what’s going on to Melvina. Before this though you’ll hear about intruders at the Council Hall! Hurry there.
Haschen Mission 4
This mission can be a tough one. The Bandit enemies are a bit more difficult than the randoms you’ve been fighting, but fortunately you have help in Rufus. You’ll be able to direct him from enemy to enemy as you like.
Talk to Krious right away to gain control of him (tell him to fight with you). Then start clearing out the south part of the level and work your way north. Have Melvina ready for Cure on the Diplomats. The Boss Bandit (with the ? HP bar) should be the last one to go after, and will go down easy once ganged up on. You’ll gain several items during the battle, like Panaceas.
After this battle you’ll notice a counter in the corner. You have to hurry out of here, and get some soup at the Inn for restoration. Leave the PMB Headquarters for another battle.
Haschen Mission 5
Elessa and some bandits are fleeing with the lab documents. The first bandit and Elessa flee easily, but make sure the other bandits die. Also you have two PMB Soldiers to protect (and a third joins in towards the end) so keep them healed.
Have Haschen and another character race to the southeast corner to cut off the two or three bandits that try to flee. The 2-3 bandits on the front lines should be easy enough to kill before the others begin fleeing too far away. Plus William joins in to stop the first two fleeing bandits. Sometimes the bandits cut to the east and take that route south to exit so watch for that.
Post-battle, speak with a soldier for a Gale Apple. If you head inside the PMB Headquarters and then through the gate, you’ll see soldiers (and William) lined up to the north. Speak with him for a Rusted Holy Sword.
Return to Isaac as has been suggested to you. You are ordered to retrieve those stolen documents as soon as possible. Fanille joins. As you leave, the party discusses the documents and Fanille’s knowledge of them. Ask questions on Elessa’s Research and the Neylern Restoration. When Krious shows up, inquire about the Priority One request.
As you leave down the stairs, Fanille gives Korin the Black Clothes and Gloria’s Clothes. You will gain more outfits based on her mood.
Before you go off on your PMB duties, talk to the salesman at the Inn and accept his proposal to bring him to Rio Rey. Be sure to check the weapons and armor before you leave because of the new things that came in. You’ll have some spare money too. Also as you leave you’ll hear the thieves went towards Zerdok, so choose start by searching Zerdok.
Rio Rey
Now as you leave the PMB Headquarters, you’ll have the salesman and his steeds following you (if you went along with his proposal at the Inn). They move slowly, but the peddler likes to run to the front line and put himself in danger. Also a Steed or two may do this, so watch out and keep everyone including them healed throughout this journey to Rio Rey. It’s not that far but you have to wait for the Steed’s to cross so it takes a while. At the end, you get New Moon Mirror, Awakening Incense, Secret Book, and he loans you some steeds to “ride back to PMB HQ in style”. Okay, well you’ll automatically be back at the PMB Headquarters after this.
Warslee
Another detour lands you in Warslee. Fanille will not recognize the wrecked town. Thankfully you can rest and save here.
Elphan Forest
Return all the way here (north of Rio Rey) and talk to the far northeast fairy (it’s gold and says ‘you won’t pick on me?’), then use the Time Capsule and it’ll bring up some ??’s. Talk to it again and then leave.
To Grangale
Return to PMB Headquarters, rest and save. Now go back out and go east a few screens until Korin stops you. Make something up to Korin when you get the chance and tell her the Gods did it of course. A long story begins here. Keep sticking to the southeast for a few paths.
Zerdok
There are plenty of paths here but just pay attention to the signs to find Zerdok. Don’t make a wrong turn or you may run into a Mutant Slime that will wipe you out.
Inside, talk to Korin and choose that’s just how we are. You can now waltz around Zerdok, but most of the Grangalians still hate you from the scar Seldous and Isaac’s Admonisher put just west of town. In the northeast part of the first area, knock on the door for Sportswear Pattern.
In the next area you’ll run into Gaerik. Rufus also walks in. They are two of the three Slayers of Grangale. There is an incense selling lady here you will want to check back with. Take the southwest exit here and search the flashing thing in area 1 for A Day in the Forest.
At the Inn, you’ll hear about the contest from the innkeeper and another fairy named Nora from Jaergen.
Contest Hall
If you talk to the Innkeeper and choose to go to the Contest Hall, you will appear in a packed room. Go to the right part of the stage and talk to the fairy Lily. Tell Korin that she is cuter than Lily. Speak with Lily again and then leave the Contest Hall. Now that you’ve been here you’ll be able to train Korin at the facilities to increase her ability’s.
Outside, the party splits up to search Zerdok. Speak with a down Fanille about Elessa. She must have had a reason for betraying you, and say that perhaps she didn’t want to worry you.
Speak with Krious by the well at the beginning of Zerdok. Assure him that he can do it despite his worries. Melvina near the northwest part of town is having trouble as well but tell her that feelings could change.
Rufus is out by the Inn to tell you again you’re not wanted here. Agree with him that they should still be feeling angst over this situation but assure him that the PMB is there to maintain the peace.
Back in the first part of town, go to the center island-type area with the tree. Talk to the peddler dude and ask for Rockbein’s specific location – you’ll learn that he’s around Jaergen and Saunail Forest.
Walk around in the other area for a while and then return back to the first area. You’ll see Romina to the south part of town. Speak with her and she’ll flee. Krious comes by and notices you but just give him a sly smile. Tell them about Rockbein being in Saunail Forest.
Outside Zerdok
Talk to the lady outside and she’s looking for her sister. Go north a few screens to see her towards the east part of the screen while monsters surround her. Quickly attack them and clear them out for her. She will show her gratitude by giving you a Holy Rune.
Southeast of Zerdok is a weird shaped dog that you’ll see on the other side of the screen. Don’t venture too far south here because a Mutant Slime will wipe you out. Talk to Irvine and he’ll mention something about it.
Go towards where you saved that lady, north of Zerdok. You’ll see some guards at the ruins and then begin to veer northwest as you continue north. You’ll see the Ruins of Nu Nahn eventually to the north – Grangale destroyed it 20 years ago. Return back to the previous area (east) and look for the sign that tells you that Jaergen Village is northeast.
Jaergen Village
Lots of weapons / armor here for you to update. Also, check out the Accessories. The door next to it is some crazy fairy loving tailor lady. Give her the Sportswear Pattern and an hour later you will get the Sportswear for Korin. Rest and save, but check out the fairy hall at the Inn too.
Speak with Nora to learn the Figure art style. Leave and go to the north part of town, where Fanille’s house is. A lady outside saw Elessa a few days ago, but not much else is known. Inside Fanille’s huge house and Aunt Beatrice will give you the Maid’s Clothes.
Go back into the Inn and leave, and look for a different guy wandering town who will tell you more about the ‘General’ in room 102. Go to the Inn now and stay / rest in room 101. Exit out for a scene. Choose to take extra precautions.
Fanille / Korin will distract the Innkeeper while two of your members grab the papers inside room 102. Choose someone to stand guard. Head inside room 102 and search the desk and read the General’s Papers. Take them with you of course and show your partner; now you know what Rockbein is planning for the PMB.
Head out of there but Haschen will be messed up. Make sure to take your Medication here.
Haschen Mission 6
Go outside the village and start heading west. You’ll see a peddler and his steeds surrounded by Lizard men. Run up there and oust them, making sure to heal any NPC’s in danger. Unfortunately, a couple of Pawn Screapers will emerge from the south.
Continue to kill the lesser enemies until they are all cleared and the Peddler and steed’s can return to Jaergen. By this time, the Pawn Screaper’s will be closing in but Bachter probably is here is aid you in killing them. Have Haschen get up close to them as well. You will get a Lesson Coupon at the end and then Bachter will talk some trash.
Respond after your little dream by telling them why and tell them about the Rockbein voices. Return back to Jaergen to rest and collect the Book of Ramadus from the peddler at the Inn. Also a Steed Pass.
Haschen Mission 7 – Saunail Ruins
Back to where you fought Mission 6, and then go south. See the guard by the ruins? Well he’s down.
Several monsters appear as you enter. Defeat the Willo Wisps and continue north until you spot some Neylern Soldiers. About 5 of them will start off but many more appear throughout this battle. They will weave left and right as they work their way south – do not let them escape.
There are some Neylern Commanders with ?? HP but most of them are just regular Neylern’s or Neylern Healers. Towards the end, one of them will drop the Saunail Ruins Key and then the stolen document!
Post-battle, go north to the wall to learn that Rockbein stole the weapon. Search the north wall again and choose to secure parts for repairs.
The left room has some monsters and the Epiphany Incense.
Check the east-door to use the Saunail Ruins Key. Have everyone defend and go north to see some lit up squares; you will need to travel around them, hitting each one and you’ll hear a noise from a faraway point. Go to the northeast point now, and use magic on the eye-switch and search the chest for Shadow Scroll.
Rio Rey
You are to return back to the PMB HQ, but first go to Rio Rey’s Hospital and check out the image to learn Landscape style for Korin.
PMB Headquarters
Not on the first barracks door north of you to learn about an R & D guy with Still Life drawing style. Go east and into Fanille’s Lab and search the east wall towards the back and read the Sketching for Morons: Still Life for Korin. Of course Korin will learn Still Life style then. The east screen also has a researcher (first one to your right) that will teach Korin the Photorealistic style.
Go talk to Isaac now, while Krious tells his dad about the stuff. Report in with Isaac and tell him about the General’s Papers. Soon enough Old Seldous runs in to speak with Isaac and they both realize that the work they spent 20 years committing to is about to be ruined. You are dismissed but a new mission is about to start soon.
Outside, tell Korin you wanted to talk to her. You’ll see Melvina as you exit and you can talk to her about her love for myths if you want. Talk to Fanille at her lab and you’ll have to give her advice about being confident. Krious is at the hall and he’ll tell you to rest. Go do so.
Fanille wakes you up. Evidently the Grangalians already know about Rockbein stealing the weapon, so all hell is about to break loose. Go to the Council Hall to learn about the weapon being on Mt. Nostal’s Peak. Leave and talk to Melvina / Krious – offer to join them and you’ll get the Signal Flare.
Zerdok
Head back to Zerdok to rest and save. On the way Melvina will point out the trail to Mt. Nostal’s Peak, northwest of Zerdok basically.
Mt. Nostal’s Peak
You’ve probably been in this area before (with Seldous and maybe again when you stumbled upon this path earlier), but this time there is a bridge to go to the northwest part. Keep heading northwest and you’ll see the summit – but you are short on time and you need to hurry there.
You can get some decent items in the first two screens, but once you reach the mountainous area go northeast through some monsters to the Vengeful Blade.
Haschen Mission 8
This is one of the toughest tasks yet – General Rockbein is behind the weapon at the top and a bunch of Neylern Soldiers, Healers, Sorcerers and Archers are here to stop you. Bring the group along as one unit to overwhelm the enemy. You’ll have issues with elevation as the archers and Sorcerers will peg you from above.
Before charging Rockbein, try to have everyone Cured. If you thought his 40 damage blizzard spells were annoying, watch out for his physical attacks that take off almost 100. Haven’t Attack up ready before you attack Rockbein would help too – though he really doesn’t have that much HP. He drops a Lethe Charm.
After the battle, it seems there is no way to fire this weapon anyway. A luminous crystal is behind it, and Korin says it is a seal of some sorts.
You need to flee fast though, after you hand the Signal Flare to Krious. Leave the mountain and the Admonisher will shoot a huge shot. Don’t go back and check, instead leave and make preparations first. So rest at Zerdok and save, and prepare to head back to Mt. Nostal.
The ruins of where the crystal was now shows a staircase going into the mountain.
Mt. Nostal Ruins – Haschen Mission 9
As you go south a bit, you’ll be trapped in between the Necromancer / Skeleton duos. Also, a Rook Screaper is near the southmost enemies.
Gang up on the north Skeleton’s and Necromancer – magic works best to kill the Necromancers. And you’ll want to take them out as soon as possible, since they use Necromancy to summon Skeletons / Zombies and also use long range magic to bug you.
Chances are, the Rook Screaper and the lower enemies will be flanking you by the time you finish up the other Necromancer and two undeads.
Post battle you will see a ton of dead screapers on the ground. You will be prompted to take your medication so do so, and heal up.
Search the next area after clearing it of monsters. A friend is lying down to the north but don’t go that route quite yet – there is more to explore. You will find a Studded Leather in the northeast part. Then try to figure out this puzzle to get the southeast treasure.
Hit the red switch and then the blue switch. Now look at the orb’s in the northeast – which one is lit up? Hit the corresponding button in the middle area (upper, middle or lower switch). Then go to the grey block on the southmost spot and you’ll see that it moves. Stay at your position and send someone to go where it moved and then the door unlocks. Grab the Healing Scroll.
Haschen Mission 10
As you are exiting Mt Nostal, you will see the Grangalian’s and Screapers and other enemies fighting. Gaerik is here too.
Unfortunately you are going up against two Rook Screapers, two Pawn Screapers and a Mutant Screaper. This may seem overwhelming, but once Haschen moves in the battle should be able to turn your way. High level attack spells work best to push through the weaker Screapers to the Mutant. Dedicate Fanille or maybe Melvina to healing Grangalian Soldiers (or your members).
After the battle, some questioning with Gaerik. Agree with Fanille here and eventually you’ll regain control – and say yes to the Medication, since you took some a bit earlier. Go north a bit and then the party will decide to report back to headquarters – begin going south a few screens and then west – you’ll be by Felmentia.
Felmentia
Might as well report to Cyriltia about the Mutant Screaper. Actually Krious goes ahead and does it. Buy a new weapon / armor for Haschen, and then go find Melvina and Fanille. Fanille needs some comforting.
In the north screen, find Korin and talk to her, and then look for a brown guy that is a Sherris fan. Tell him you are too and he gives you a SFC Membership and SFC Application. Continue north to speak with Sherris for a bit about Krious.
Back a few screens to the Inn to talk to Krious about Sherris. Then rest at the Inn and save. Since the party is back together, go to the area where Korin was flying around to find a guy that teaches her the Butterfly Ballet.
On your way back to the PMB Headquarters, stop off at Zerdok. The guy in the center statue area is a Sherris fan so give him a SFC Application. Near the flower shop in area 2 you can learn Expressionism for Korin.
PMB Headquarters
Rest up and save when you finally make your way back home.
Speak with Isaac at his room. Tell him about the Biological Weapon being a screaper, and then tell them about your side effects.
