
Fanille
Fanille is one of the PMB’s lead researchers. Sure enough she starts off in an attempt to plead with Commander Isaac.
Elessa will talk with Fanille when you exit. Speak to her again but she can’t come with. Head to the west area and then south. Talk to the soldier and then Krious appears and joins.
Return to Elessa who is suddenly free. She joins Fanille and Krious. Go south and west to exit.
Warslee
Fanille is looking for Warslee. You will get a Continent Map from Krious. Head to the southwest and then further south to meet Rockbein. After this point you’ll have to go south a good distance, until Krious mentions that you’ll need to go east to Warslee.
The screen before the town is your first real mission. There are children north of you, south of you and southeast of you that you can speak with to tell them to retreat. The monsters around here should be tolerable if you can gang up on them. Eventually though a Screaper shows up. Fortunately Rasche aids you against the Screaper, so just take out the rest of the surrounding enemies.
Once you get in Warslee, follow the grey brick rock northeast and then east to the beach. Head west to the Inn to hear about Aimee, who knows about fairies. Rest / Save, and then go south of the Inn and talk to the pink-clad girl, Aimee.
PMB Prison
Leave Warslee and travel west (you ignored this for earlier for the east route to Warslee). As you go north, Krious will mention you should travel east to the PMB Prison.
Krious will need to go in and speak with an inmate.
Rio Rey Village
West of the prison is Rio Rey Village. Here you’ll learn more about the fairy’s in Elphan Forest to the north. Head west in this village to talk to the little kid at the beach. He’ll give you the Son’s Letter. Check out the general store at the Inn – lots of powerful weapons and armor that will be worth your time to purchase.
Since you have the Son’s Letter, make a quick trip back to the PMB Prison. Say that you’ll go into the jail to ‘interrogate him’, but just go to his cell and ‘use’ the Son’s Letter. You get the Dad’s Letter in return. Take that back to the kid on the beach, and he’ll gladly hand over the Chemist’s Art accessory.
Before traveling to the Elphan Forest, you’ll want to backtrack south, east and then north a few screens (near the PMB HQ). As you are going up this north path stick to the west side and you’ll see the Naton Tree. A Werecat is guarding the tree. You can either distract it with the other two characters and grab the fruit with Fanille, or you can use Wind Edge with Elessa to kill it. That’s the best option because you’ll get a Twin Lance in return.
Elphan Forest
This is north of Rio Rey Village. As you enter, Elessa and Krious agree that Fanille should go alone.
As Fanille heads north, you’ll encounter Korin who is enticed by the scent of the Naton Fruit. However an enemy pounces on Korin before you can speak with her!
It is a Gulper, an enemy more concerned with grabbing the fairy Korin and running than killing you. You will only have Fanille at first, so use Fire Arrow or regular attack until Krious and Elessa run in. Elessa’s Wind Edge should do about 30-40 damage, so a few of these should do the Gulper in. Act fast so the Gulper doesn’t escape with Korin. For winning, you will get a Ravas Stone.
Fanille speaks with the fairies afterwards. Korin joins you the group. Now Fanille can continue her fairy research. She’d like to see how fairies react when in a Magic Circle that seals out Mana.
Rio Rey Village
Return here to visit the boy on the beach with Korin. He’ll take the Naton Fruit and promises to send something nice in return to the PMB Headquarters.
So, exit out and take the long route back to PMB Headquarters. As you get there, Elessa will act weird when she seems someone outside of PMB. This strange guy disappears.
PMB Headquarters
As you enter the PMB Headquarters, Krious and Elessa leave the party. Head towards the gated area and talk to the soldiers – one of them thanks you for defeating the Werecat and gives you the Nightmare accessory.
Return to Fanille’s lab to see her testing. After she is finished with this, go to the far west part of the village to see Krious in front of the building. He joins back up with you. Then go to the far east, to the building east of Fanille’s lab. Elessa has left so it’s just you two.
Warslee Village
With Krious and Korin, head to Warslee. Speak with the Juju Lady in the northeast part of the village.
She hooks you up different juice to stop the mana. Fanille finds it to be working, and that fairies really do produce mana.
Thus ends the Fanille chapter. Will her research do good or be a bad omen for the land?
