The rock by the Operator on the other side hides another treasure, this time the Winged Crown.
By the time you defeat all the enemies on ground level you’re probably not even going to want to mess with the Dinomen all the way up top. Just tolerate their 50 damage shots to you and take out Vala the Rat. Again, ShadowCut is by far the biggest issue here so have Group Heal, Mother, Major Heal and whatever else ready to use. The first few turns are mayhem so you may have some trouble but Vala’s allies aren’t potent enough to last long.
After Vala is finished, he doesn’t return to human form but instead perishes it seems. The party has to go back to town to find another path however, as the one ahead has been blocked by the Devil’s.
Port Town
Back in town the party can’t find any news about a new path to the Thunder Temple. Eventually they go out again but Sanzo and a lady of his choosing get to stay back and watch the kid. I chose Ryorin but I doubt it matters much besides the dialogue, so pick whoever you like.
The party comes back and Sanzo hears about Puppet’s Peak.
