Battle of Ru Xu Kou
“In war, there are times when you win, and times when you lose. But even the defeated have the faint view of sweet victory eventually won to allow them to keep fighting on.
In the year 217 AD, the Wei and Wu armies met at Ru Xu Kou. For Wu, this was its chance to avenge the embarrassing defeat handed to them at He Fei and regain its honor. ”

Strategy: You’re given five of Wu’s top officers in this battle. As mentioned above, you are responding to your defeat a few years prior to Wei at He Fei. Lu Meng and Taishi Ci are in the southern part of the map and head east; running into Zhang Liao a few times in the process. Gan Ning is in the center position with Cao Ren’s sub-generals. Ling Tong and Zhou Tai go up the west end of the map and run into Xu Huang and converge on the center area.

If you’re heading east, you’ll meet Zhang Liao, who you will have to beat three times. Chances are, when you defeat him the first two times, he’ll spawn behind you. Immediately head back, otherwise he’ll be a nuisance to your other warriors. The third and final version of Zhang Liao will be aided with a Musou Rage, so be careful.
Doing this battle with Gan Ning is probably easiest (he was the most built up out of the five for me, though). The center generals are easy, and taking the base/gates in the area is a breeze also. After defeating all the sub-generals, Xu Huang and Xiahou Dun will come your way. Relax though, they’re nothing compared to Zhang Liao or Cao Cao on this stage. Xu Huang has Li Dian with him, while Xiahou Dun has Yu Jin.
Cao Ren is at the main base, but shouldn’t present too much of an issue for you until you go and attack him. After defeating him (I think you have to kill the other generals also) Cao Cao will appear near Cao Ren’s initial position. He’ll have Niu Jin at the far northeastern corner of the map, along with Man Chong and Jia Xu on both sides of him. More importantly, he’ll get an attack bonus after a short beating, and then he’ll use a Musou Rage once you get him near death.
Sun Quan dying never was an issue for me, with any character. However, watch Zhang Liao especially; his morale is high and if any enemy general will make a surge towards Sun Quan, it’ll be Zhang. Also note that defeating Cao Ren doesn’t trigger Cao Cao coming, so try not to go after him until the end.
