ModeratorI have one, but I don't have the unanshaable and unbilletable… I probably should add them!
Edit: Added. Eight officers are on the unanshaable list, four (who you can probably guess!) are unbilletable.

ParticipantFour…? That means that either one "brother" or "son" is billetable… who?
And eight officers are unanshaable? That's quite a lot. All in Wu and Wei?

KeymasterLink, he is talking about his Jin Xuan mod, so it is different as you do not get the Shu officers. I'm assuming he means Kong Rong and Taishi Ci and Jin Xuan who are the main good guys in the Jin Xuan mod.
Gong Zhi should be too but he won't listen to me even though Gong Zhi is the one officer you always hear about with Jin Xuan (granted he betrayed him at the end but still).

ModeratorYou'll have to play the game to find out! (although some of them shoulkd be fairly obvious)…
Also, keep in mind that (1) Jin Xuan nearly executes him (at least in the book) and (2) in the book he DID betray and execute Jin Xuan.
There's also the issue of stats; even if I gave him +50 Str and Int over what he deserves, he still wouldn't be worthy of end-of-game stats, and would likely be worse than the "They have good stats but your current team is better!" Shu officers in DoaE2. Think of Jian Yong, who nobody cares about even though he joined his fellow villager Liu Bei so long, long ago.

KeymasterWell yea Gong Zhi would be tolerable if you scaled back your stats a bit. More or less, if you can stretch Jin Xuan to competency, I think the same can be done for Gong Zhi. Could be a ~150 strength ~190 int guy, that has some value…

ParticipantI get it… the generals in the places of Zhang Bao and Guan Xing are billetable, and the only ones unbilletable are the three main guys and the one in place of Zhuge Liang…? I'll just have to find out.
And speaking of Jian Yong, I always wondered why DoaE put the Songs in there instead of him.

ModeratorJin Xuan pretty much has to get buffed, as it's his mod; there's no point in going "Hey, let's have someone be part of the game until the end yet have him be only 140/140!"
I will consider giving Gong Zhi level-based soldiers, though…

ParticipantDid Kong Rong serve… Jin Xuan?

KeymasterNo. No one besides Gong Zhi really served Jin Xuan, to my knowledge. DA is just stretching real history to make a Jin Xuan DoaE :) huohu

ParticipantOh, I see. So that's where Wu Anguo popped out of.

KeymasterWu Anguo was a Kong Rong disciple until he died in battle I believe in the wars against Dong Zhuo.

ParticipantNo, his wrist was choppped off by Lu Bu's halberd. He couldn't fight, obviously, unless he changed from a right-hander to a left.

KeymasterAnd there's the whole matter of the recess in his other arm, I can't imagine he lasted long after Lu Bu's slice.
re: Jin Xuan. I would put him at 165 STR 110 INT that would be fun :poison:

ParticipantWell, the doctors back then sure didn't have good techniques, so yeah, he could have died.
And if Jin Xuan was at that level of stats, no one would like Atma.
September 26, 2009 at 9:43 pm #26934Lord Yuan Shu
KeymasterYea it's true, they have to be decent if they are meant to last the whole game. I suppose I did give Liu Zhang some hefty stats so I shouldn't talk.
The bug with the sprite saying the same never really bothered me, though I noticed it. I would just switch the sprite type a few times and it would fix itself.
