ModeratorLooks like it's related to the highest tactic items The conversion was changed — it used to be a special value I called a "Code" (byte with a string value that is useful to the user) but it's been converted so that the new Tactic Profiles can be used.
It's a little bit messy to fix, and I'm not sure I'm comfortable doing it without MiDKnighT's involvement since he wrote the new stuff. If he doesn't turn up for a couple days I can probably take a look, though.

ModeratorWell, it also came up w/ an error when I tried editing an officer stat. Essentially, any time I tried to 'save' a change to an officer, I got a run time error similar to this one.

ModeratorYeah, the issue is that the tactics are loaded up in such a way that any change to an officer will trigger a crash :/

ModeratorOuch, I'll try to look at this today.
EDIT: Or maybe tomorrow

ModeratorWell I see why the bug is happening, I did something dumb. Now trying to figure out the best way to fix.

ModeratorOK I did a simple band-aid fix. I re-uploaded version r – please re-download and try.

ModeratorGiving it a try

ModeratorJust a 2 cent, the formula for determining POL seems just to be out of whack… I think it should be more of a % derived from officer intelligence because guys like Ma Chao are getting 175 default politics with the current formula and I'd probably only give him like 60.
Also, does the 1.3 patch reduce all displayed armor values? With the stock DOAE values it would overflow back to 0 and begin from 0 again so I think the highest armor could only have a max of 135 displayed AC (if 120 is the max value of officer Defense from stats)
Also, my guys can't equip armor unless it is in the officer profile… perhaps that might be a little overboard having to buy specific armor for every guy as it already has more micro-management with specific weapons ? Just a thought.
Anyways, the current version seems to be working, will test more.

ModeratorI manually changed the POL values for all the officers in game, exported and restarted DOAEditor, however, I am getting the following error upon selecting the Liu Bei, Zhang Fei, and Guan Yu officers (AA, A9, A6) and everyone else seems to be fine even the other tigers. It just seems specific to those 3 main guys.
See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.
For example:
<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>
When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

ModeratorYa that's my bug again not Niahak's. Sorry. Will look into that too – the armor thing is also a bug – didn't know about that one.
August 24, 2013 at 5:10 pm #27658sonic.penguin
ModeratorYeah, the armor thing is most important ATM because I can't exactly play-test while I'm editing if I can't equip armors, granted I could manually add them all but then I'd have to do the reverse after the fix
August 24, 2013 at 6:18 pm #27659MiDKnighT
ModeratorThe ROM you're testing, is it 1.2 or 1.3?
August 24, 2013 at 6:23 pm #27660sonic.penguin
Moderator1.3
