ModeratorNeed….. fixes….. asap…. :retard:
Heh, just whenever is fine also, I just got bit by the motivation bug a bit to fix up Flames of Wu so I can get it more or less out of BETA release even though some 175+ have already downloaded it, though the feedback has been relegated to the few very helpful individual here on the LYS forums to helps spot bugs.

ModeratorEditing tactic levels 31-60 on the Profiles page doesn't save. You can change them but they revert back to their original values when exporting.

ModeratorCan't seem to add the new tactics. They aren't being utilized by officers even though they are in the appropriate learned level list and a higher tactic priority. It is like this when using DOAEditor or even manually editing the hex.
For example, I want an officer to use Zeal 2 so I place it learned @ a later level, higher tactic priority and the correct slot. they are still using the previous tactic that is found in the original DOAE tactic set. This seems to be the case from 'Raise' on down through the rest of the tactics.

ModeratorI don't have any save states that are that high on IPS patch 1.3. What level do they stop working? What did you manually put in the "highest tactic learned" via hex? Is Zeal 2 in that officer's profile?
I do think I have something to fix here in DoaEditor but wanted to get more details on what you were doing.

ModeratorWhen using DOAEditor, I was not able to "change" any tactics on the 31-60 tab. Yeah, I could change them but they would automatically revert to the pre-saved version upon exporting. Also, none of the tactics below Life (Raise -> Unnamed Tactics -> Expanded New Tactics) would not even appear in game when I tested it and set their priority highest. I did see you could set tactic priority up to 7 now? That would be helpful.
But yeah, Zeal 2, Mislead 2, Etc. I couldn't get them to even show up in the officer profile in game even with level learned, priority, stat requirement and slot all correct.

ModeratorNiahak, can you point me towards the address where the billeting information is stored?

ModeratorQuote:Niahak, can you point me towards the address where the billeting information is stored?Actually it's in the Meteorstrike thread:

ModeratorGot it! So A8 A9 AA AC AD BC D5 are editable at 39580 and it seems that in DOAEditor that even though the Unbilletable option is clicked, it is not in this list in my rom! Hmm, let me see if I can add it manually and fix this little problem… Stay tuned.

ModeratorFixed.
The bigger issue now is why did DOAEditor not work right….

ModeratorOkay, having some issues w/ the most recent IPS patch while trying to patch the “Cao Cao” mod by James.
1. Expanded rom via DOAEditor
2. Applied IPS patch 1.2 patch 1 then patch 2
3. Got this error when trying to open up the rom in DOAEditorEdit:
4. Just tried applying on old patch from early 2013, still having the same issue… let me check and see if it’s a DOAEditor issue…-

ModeratorI think there is an issue w/ the Cao Cao Mod by James. I even tried an old version of DOAEditor then applying an old IPS patch 1.2… no luck, still get the above error. I think the coding was a LOT different when it was created.
BUT there is a problem with the current IPS 1.2 patch. I expanded a clean rom via DOAEditor, then applied the current IPS patch 1.2 1 then 2 and got an error in DOAEditor when trying to mod it.
So either I’m patching it wrong, or there is an IPS issue.

KeymasterFrom what I remember, James didn’t use the Editor at all. And he changed a bunch of things, like when you try to use the Gemsword on Lu Bu he kills you and the ending event starts. So patching that might be impossible

ModeratorHey sonic if you agree to use James’ Cao Cao mod as a starting point for your new Cao Cao mod I’ll commit to patching it up to 1.3 and getting it working with DoaEditor along with fixing the other major 1.3 issues.
Reason is we had told James we’d update his mod way back.
