ModeratorDont know how you do it so quickly, but it seems nice :) Be sure to update the IPS with this great update :)
Cheng Nei is like the Lian Huo of defense tactics. Just seems like such a waste of a tactic. Combining Huo/Wuo Jian/Cheng Nei would essentially seem like a Ji Rou copy

Combining Huo/Wuo Jian/Cheng Nei would essentially seem like a Ji Rou copyI was thinking a weaker Ji Rou. Ji Rou cuts damage by 50%. I was thinking of a weaker one (earlier tactic) that cuts damage by 25%.

Moderator25% on a single target would make it not so much the same and would mix it up more than both sides just upping def by 25% like Ji Rou.

Moderatorjust realized something… ever since the release of all the detailed information and all the great new ideas that have emerged… the activity here has sort of died down a bit lol. No one has the need to ask anymore questions apparently… :crybaby:

ModeratorTo be honest my motivation has dropped some. I think we need for some more DoaE hackers to show up to liven things up again around here :)

ModeratorAre you saying you need a new mod idea out there? Well the Rise of Ieyasu mod will be up for testing relatively soon :D
Maybe we should make LYS do some clever marketing scheme for hackers… watch, the website gets hacked and we lose everything lol :ninja:

KeymasterYea, new blood always helps because it's fresh to them. I'll probably get back to editing the YS mod sometime after the Holiday's, just wanted to wait for the IPS to be up for a while and the Holiday's to pass as it's just too crazy with web business for me to be doing DoaE hacking. Plus, I still want to play through some of these new mods like Lud's and the updated Yuan Shao mod, etc.
I wouldn't worry about losing any data. We haven't lost any data since it's been up in 2004, backing it up frequently on a few different machines (We have our own server, it is at Junsuijin's house). But never hurts to have another backup lol. We have been hacked a few times before, but it wasn't more than a one-day nuisance.

ModeratorHey MiDKnighT, I'm looking at implementing warps (at least "readonly" until I understand them better) in the editor, and I have a question.
There are a bunch of pointers above the warp section that are really similar to the ones used for text and general data; Have you seen warps referred to by number? It seems really weird to use pointers for such well-structured information if there isn't a use for them like that…
I'm not sure in what context they'd be referred to that way, though. Maybe that's how they're referenced on the village/castle maps? With one exception (IIRC, some guy's house on the way to Shu), you always come out exactly where you come in.

ModeratorQuote:Have you seen warps referred to by number?Hmm not sure about that. They do use warps inside of towns. The way we've done it so far is to just fine the beginning world map address and end map address then change one or both of them. If you like I can try to trace a warp and see if it's using some kind of pointer.
