My oh my, I don’t think I ever saw this. Yuan Shu is on there even. Yeah I’m not sure about that Xu Chu comment…I know Xu HUANG was a protege of him, but I don’t think Xu Chu had any relation. Someone at Kongming would certainly know….
and I say use Zhang Lu once you get stuck, or something. Obviously he’s going to be very dominant if you have him and keep him healed.

Huo Hu's Adventure started Destiny of an Emperor hackingWell, going through Emperor Jing’s tomb was certainly exciting, what with running into strong generals half the time and running out of TP for YanDun.
And fighting two generals with strength over 200 who consistantly go before everyone except Meng Da=ULTIMATE HAPPINESS!
On the plus side, I now have two generals with strength over 200 who should consistantly go before most of the enemies, although I wish their troops counts didn’t fall by 3000.
On to Nanzheng!
Edit: There is a battle at Yangping citadel. You have neglected to specifically mention this on your html walkthrough, although it is pretty easy.

Oh really? I seem to remember that…and there’s another citadel after Yangping and then it’s Han Zhong, right? I’ll have to double check all that.

Huo Hu's Adventure started Destiny of an Emperor hackingThe order is Xia Meng (Ma Chao and Ma Dai), Yangping (Yang Ang, I think), the mountain pass, Nanzheng (Yang Bai), and then Hanzhong.
On that note, I think the link from the Hanzhong walkthrough page to the Hanzhong general analysis is broken; I can’t seem to get to that page from the walkthrough, although I can from going forward from the Jingzhou general page.
Needless to say I haven’t done much in terms of double checking the "cleanliness" of the DoaE2 section after I finished the text guide for it. But yeah, if I’m leaving out battles and the links are broken sometimes, I think that’s due for some fixing…

Huo Hu's Adventure started Destiny of an Emperor hackingHanzhong castle has fallen to Liu Bei. Even with the gate trick it was quite the battle, as each general did a large amount of damage. Halfway through, Pang Tong is killed, and as he is my strategist and has all my revives, things become understandably harder. But I managed to pull through, with everyone in the battle dead except Ma Dai.
Now at level 24. Something tells me this is the turning point of the challenge difficulty-wise.
Just a quick update, I’m currently at Jianning castle at level 27.
Is Ba castle required? I know the citadel is, but I’m not sure whether the castle was mandatory.
Good question, have you tried skipping it yet? I think you need to talk to someone in Ba to be able to beat Ba Citadel, but that I am unsure of. Let me know if you get past it.

Huo Hu's Adventure started Destiny of an Emperor hackingWell I already attacked it beforehand. I wanted a place to save from.
But if anyone else plays through, they should try skipping Ba and Yiling to see if they’re mandatory.
Level 30 inside Chengdu, now I need to recapture Hanzhong and invade Wei.
I’ve noticed throughout the challenge that the hardest battles tend to be 3 or more decent generals together, as opposed to an uber general like Lu Bu but with mediocre support. Even Chengdu, which has no outstanding generals in the lineup, gave me some grief.
Of course, when you get into a battle where EVERYONE is good (like Luo castle), that’s even worse.
Edit: So my enemies’ troop count jumps up from 6k to 9k? Fun.
I just realized I’m supposed to defeat Xiahou Yuan et al….using YanRe and YinXian.
This could take a while.
Yeah Yang Xiu is pretty tricky there as well

i manage to complete it at level 42 (i guess its too high ~"~),with
Zhuge liang(Strategist)
Jiang Wei (int 255,equip with treastise)
Zhao Yun
Ma Chao (weapon damage is 255,equip with gauntlet)
Guan Suo
formation used are FENG JIAN
i use jiangwei and zhugeliang to burn the wei alive,wahaha……its fun ^^
and i manage to burn simayi too until his die,yipee……^^
ok that all i say until now….
Anyone complete at lower level?
