ModeratorThere was an issue in some ROMs where an officer without a weapon could hit really hard. Found a value of “03” for the high bit for weapon ID 00 (bare hands) which explained it. Fix:

ModeratorI’ve been reluctant to post this one as I kept having problems with it. Now it seems to be working correctly but I will edit if anything else comes up.
A.I. was only working about 40% of the time. Ie…the enemy would often waste turns casting douse or whatever multiple times. This should be 100% fixed now if you use the “enemy turn probabilities” enhancement if you use the 2 0x3A### changes. However if you use those changes you must use “enemy turn probabilities” for every profile. Of course enemies not wasting turns as much means they will be tougher.

ModeratorI did see the haste thing in my mod but haven’t seen it in a while. It’s possible that my changes addressed it but also possible that it did not. It’s on my list of things to check/fix. It WILL be fixed before Yuan Shao’s Revenge 3.0 is released if the bug is out there.

ModeratorNote that I made a couple of updates to the A.I. bug fix(es). In my testing so far it now works perfectly with the “enemy turns probability” enhancement.

No date yet but making progress as you know. Chapter 1 is nearly complete with map edits and everything. Boneduke is modifying chapter 2 maps and I am up to the end of chapter 6 in my balancing / testing.

ModeratorSo much new code was bound to create overflow on different parts of the game. This was likely part of the issue a few years back when adding lots of additional dialogue, the hex would accidentally overflow into other parts of the code, messing up events, enemy behavior, etc. So where is this Yuan Shao 3.0 business I see on here?? ? Is there a new IPS patch and doaeditor so we dont have to inject graphics anymore via Fedian IV? Im going to have to check out the romhacking guide… Just did and wow Ive forgotten so much. MidKnight you continue to do some amazing stuff.

ParticipantHey Sonic, nice to meet ya. Does your Hero of Chaos Mod Fixable? From duplicating the statistics of generals,copying maps, arrange music, restock battleplaces and battles, all dialogues and others to original 1.3 patched rom? And continuing it from where you left it? Since MiDKnighT made a lot of fixes to patch and DoaEditor as well as new features, it can be useful.
