As if there isn't enough going on around here…
I have released v2.0 of my mod on my website (http://jeffludwig.com/doae/. If anyone is interested in playing it, I give full rights to LordYuanShu to host it on this forum, as I would be interested in anyone's feedback.
It really is nothing special from a story standpoint… but I hope that the mod demonstrates an impeccably paced experience from beginning to end, while including many of the interesting battle enhancements featured here, including
- 8 Tactics
- DoaE2-like damage algorithm
- Agility-based multi attacks
- MiDKnighT's 25 soldier progressions
Also, I have attempted to keep the battle messages short, to keep the game moving along at a snappy pace, and to discourage those who would use save state (who… me?) to influence the outcome of battle plans within a round of battle.
To easily view the changes to the tactics, here is a configurable tactic list.
With this released, I hope to play some of your nifty mods! Enjoy!

I wanted to do this with my Rise of Lu Bu mod but was only able to stamp something into the credits at the end of the game via tile layer pro

Only just started the game, the variety that you've put into the officers' stats, soldier count, and most of all tactics have placed different degrees of worth in previous pissholes like Song Yong.
Although, two things:
1. I notice that I can't see how much TP each potential tactician can provide the party with before I assign him as a strategist?
2. There seems to be a little glitch where the three bros. (who start with weapons equipped) are set at 5 Wpn and 0 Def like all default officers until they equip/unequip a different item.

When I decided to add Agility to the status screen, my thought process was that T.P. potential was the odd attribute out since it is only a function of Intellect…
TP Capacity * Int / 256 = Officer's TP capacity
It will be unlikely for me to be able to fix this without transferring Status screen stuff to a separate ROM bank.

I'll see what I can do about scouting this issue out and releasing a fix today.
EDIT: Success! Found a fair bit of extra space where I could hack in the initial attack and defense values, and I have updated the patch on my site. Anyone care to ascertain that it's fixed? :P

Letting officers using their own tactics proved quite useful since it allowed me to use Evade and Thwart at the same time, always gave me the initiative. The Agility Based Multi-attacks and 8 tactics functions were very interesting too, sometimes one of my generals could attack three times in one turn which shocked the enemies.
What's the meaning of Zenbuto? Is it likely the same as Zanmato of FFX or something?
Hopefully many improvements in next releases so I can enjoy it again :huohu:
