Quote:EDIT: That said, I'm also having trouble finding Liu Bei and Zhou Cang. Maybe they are each part of an array…Actually, a while back I also tried to find Zhou Yun as well as I cant seem to locate his placeholder either. I've been doing a LOT with changing sprites to do all sorts of new things, and finding Zhou Yun, Zhou Cang, and Xu Shu would be very beneficial.

ModeratorI might have to ask for Meteorstrike's help on this one as I'm not sure how to find the array if there is one.

ModeratorTrying to decide on which portrait of the new and improved Lu Xun portrait…

ModeratorThe most badazz is the one on the right, followed by the one in the middle.

ModeratorPeng, see the yellow bad on cheng yu's hat?
The right side is flush with the edge of the fasce, but the left side extends an extra pixel; it looks uneven.
And Lu Xun's rightmost image would be best; wu's color is traditionally red, so light blue armor would be weird.

Moderator…1 pixel? hah, okay I'll see what I can do on extending the hat…

I wasnt really going for traditional, but meh, I just like giving color to armor as well. But yeah, thats why I tried black armor too. Okay, I'll go w/ that one.

ModeratorOkay, so I wasn't exactly satisfied with my previous Xiahou Dun submission, he just didn't seem quite as bad ass as I wanted him to look, let me know what you think of the new and improved version + colors.

ModeratorSweet portraits. I can't wait to steal them… :P
Xiahou Dun def looks improved. Interesting idea with the color swapping too. At first I thought you'd figured out some palette hack but then noticed that you're using the background color on the armor. Cool idea.

ModeratorIt is a palette hack… >_> Actually, this way is way better because I can essentially make them up to 8 different colors in the spots that I make "see through". Granted, I have to fudge the eyes not being able to use white, but in most cases it pulls off pretty well.

ModeratorNow that I'm a little more experienced, I've been redrawing some of my older portraits from a few months ago. I've found that drawing them slightly larger than what can fit in the box allows me to do more detail and things arent so scrunched. Either way, which one fits best though?
Old on left, new on right
