ModeratorHmm, not really helpful because I've flipped through officers a lot in the last version. You must have done some other editing prior to that which created the weird bug/condition.

ModeratorDon't blame me! I never create any bugs >_>

ModeratorNot blaming, just wondering what led to the buggie. Must have been some series of steps that eventually caused something bad to happen. BTW is the shop editor working well? I didn't have much time to test it before my vac.

ModeratorActually, my wife and I are in the process of moving and have been out of the house for about a month atm. I haven't had any time to play with it, but probably next week upon moving in things will settle down a bit. I've been itching to get my hands ALL over the new upgrades :P

ModeratorNew updates coming in the current Flames of Wu BETA (upon MiDKnighT's schedule to fix our attack bug)
New status menus with additional status' page + officer status adjustments
New ability to gain random items after battles (POL based)
Officers now use unique weapons based around their personality
New formulas for calculating damage
New tactics
TP gains EVERY level, even if no tactics are learned (4 per level)
Ling Tong's location will be moved to prevent a sprite overload that was causing recruitment issues
Ling Tong will gain some status upgrades to make him more viable vs. Gan Ning's overpoweredness which will also be slightly adjusted.
Some map editing to prevent entering the bonus section too early which prevented multiple battles from being spawned.
Stat adjustment to "Mr. Happy" to prevent a near game-breaking tactic to become available to players
End-game weapons will be reduced to "less powerful" versions so as to not totally outpace the enemies ability to defend once Zeal is obtained.
*Note* Most characters currently in the mod will be retained.

ModeratorGiven that those status screens look drastically different.
I DEMAND A TXT FILE INCLUDED WITH ZIP TO ACT AS A MANUAL.
Since my last request went unanswered, it's now a DEMAND.
What does this tactic do ? What affects it ? etc ?
What are these new stat numbers ? What do they do ?
IE:
The game is no longer just DoaE, it's entirely different and needs a manual included with it!

ModeratorQuote:Since my last request went unanswered, it's now a DEMAND.Oh, heh heh, well sorry I missed that and I could most likely do that OR I could add it in game like tutorials for the first towns you go in via the townspeople?
Quote:The game is no longer just DoaE, it's entirely different and needs a manual included with it!I would agree that it's definitely made some large strides towards its SNES counter parts.

ModeratorHm. I would rather have:
* a txt file for easy reference
* not wasting limited dialog space in game that could be used for sonic humor!
* bwahahahaha!
yes, i still use and chuckle at bwahahaha. sadly, i think i'm the only one that gets the reference :(. yeah, it's a common phrase (hell, i've used it for years), but still. forever more it's now a RoL thing :P

Alright then, I can probably arrange that.
I'm currently trying to pinpoint a problem that a user from the-scholars had with the guy who sits on the throne not spawning in Gui Yang after conquering Jing Zhou. I was sent the .sav file and found that the Liu Bei replacement (Ding Yuan) was ironically in billeting which I think is what is causing the spawn issue, yet I thought they were 2 different sprites???
Anyways, the only reason I can think of is that the game was edited w/ a DOAEditor and they clicked the billeting option on Ding Yuan in order to bag him in billeting illegally :S

Moderatoror hex editing ram / save state / sram
edit:
i've noted that if ya load a state or whatever from a different mod… many things can break horribly heh. if your versions are similar but this particular guy is treated differently ?
i dunno
August 31, 2013 at 1:50 pm #43725sonic.penguin
ModeratorWasn't a save state, it was a .sav file.

ParticipantDownloaded your most recent version! I'll get started on this tonight. Looking forward to chopping down some people with a certain pirate!

Hopefully I've gotten most of the bugs out in that version. I wanted to update with IPS patch 1.3 unfortunately I've run into far too many bugs to have it usable for the time being.
