It may be possible but would probably be a major headache. I try to avoid the unnecessary headaches. But as a worthwhile headache I am close to finding a way to load all DoaE2 sprites into a DoaE1 expanded ROM (and using them). I'll probably have that done in the next day or two.
Yeah I know it might be done if we really tried but when there still exitsing more essential affairs, it's definitely now worth it spending time in a complicated matter that may give you a headache. But you know what MidKnight, that's a very sweet job you've done since the beginning.
Maybe we can use your talent for DoaE2 as what we've done so far for DoaE.
DoaE gave birth to Huo Hu.
Yuan Shao Rom. Lets say pretty much EVERY portrait except those which I believe probably overwrite currently existing ones, IE Yan Liang/Wen Chou/Tian Feng/Yuan Shao. Those ones work, but most others are garbled.
Hmm maybe your emulator doesn't like the ROM expansion. Will take another look… Anybody else having an issue with sprites in this ROM?
Are you sure it's sprites and not portraits? The only thing I did with the sprites is some color swapping.

I believe it is just the emulator used. In FCE Ultra, the pictures look fine, however, other emulators such as NESten show all the pictures as garbled, non-recognizable, mush. Not sure about other emulators
OK maybe expanded ROMs will only work with some emulators. I'll add that to page 1 of this thread.
That's fine because NESten is lame and FCE Ultra is the best huohu . I suppose things can't be perfect.

Well, that's pretty cool. It's fast enough for me with FCE Ultra and I'm used to the speed so I use it during menu's and stuff too to save time. Not sure I could control that if it was faster.
