Moderator*Liu Yan killed his own rebel force, then attacked Zhang Wei, lol… hmmm, the issue where people are attacking their own allies seems to work with the officer @ the top slot of the enemy formation.
*Shu is a little bit harder than chapters 1-5
*X-BOWS!!! Major death-hack :P
*Han Sui… has green lips :wasted:January 14, 2014 at 11:12 am #52892MiDKnighT
ModeratorSo many revisions of this mod but yet still so many issues. I’d like to clean this ROM up and fix some other buggies but haven’t had much time or motivation to get my head back into assembly and C#.

ModeratorOK I’m officially working on Yuan Shao’s Revenge Version 3.0. This will include using the IPS 1.3 changes to the fullest. Mainly having many different unique profiles.

ParticipantI just joined this site and I read that the Yuan Shao’s Revenge mod is getting an update. I happen to be playing through that mod right now for the first time (I gave up on Rise of Ieyasu because I am hopelessly stuck). I have a lot of impressions and feedback, but they aren’t necessarily positive. In fact, much of it is critical. Would you (the creator of the mod) still be interested in hearing the feedback?
In my experience, modders/hackers are divided into two categories: those that mod games for their own enjoyment and couldn’t give a damn what anyone else thinks, and those who are trying to make a generally appealing game. My interests in modding are for more aligned with the latter camp than the former. Thus, any feedback I would provide is not meant to denigrate, insult or otherwise malign this mod. It is simply the results of my journey as a tester and what I feel would make the mod a better experience for most people who might play it. I am offering my feedback for no reason other than I noticed v3.0 was being actively worked on.
Regardless of the answer, I am still interested in playing the mod when it is released. Keep up the good work and thank you for this website! I’m glad I found it.

ModeratorHi Phaxuji,
I would not play Yuan Shao’s Revenge 2.0. I know it has a lot of problems.
Version 3 will be far superior and I know about a lot of problems with 2.0 hence the major update.
If you want to try out chapters 1-4 of YS Revenge 3.0 and provide feedback just give me an e-mail address.
Thanks!

ParticipantYou’re suggesting against playing your own hack? That’s not exactly the response I expected.
It’s too late anyway, I’m actually near the end. Just beat Sun Quan and now I’m at an interesting part where everything is very maze-like. To be honest, this part seems fairly intriguing.
Anyway, I’d love to be given a chance to try out your hack! Do you have a file sharing site you could upload the hack to? As a general rule I try not to post my email.
Although if I had no choice, I suppose I’d be willing since your update looks pretty awesome.
