As you can see I have been trying to fix the email problem by updating the software. This is not working, it turns out the problem is that our server admin messed up the sendmail function with a server update or is throttling the amount of mail we can send. Either way I have no access to the main server so I cannot fix the problem. The individual that can resolve this is uncooperative in helping us but I will try to bother him to the point he will fix the issue, for now the only problem is the emails won’t be sent when a post is made in a topic you are watching.
people, with all i have to do i don’t keep up to date on this forum. if you are having problems with your account or anything else on the site please email me for the quickest response. yes your submission works just fine and will be on the front page once lordyuanshu figures out what category to place it under (i suggested a new releases or game news section).

Now forum users are linked to website users. Login from the website and you will be logged in to the forum as well (i’m fixing the avatars asap right now). Everyone is already transferred over with the same username and password as the forum (be sure to email me if you have any problems). The template for the main site will be updated at some point to look better; whenever i have time/desire (feel free to offer suggestions). Nobody can register on the forum as of right now either; its all done through the main site. The point of this all is that users can submit their own articles/what have you to the site and continue to build yuanshu as a community (and everything is accessed through a single login; but you can still login at the forum if you need to for some reason ;) ). All user suggestions will be taken into careful consideration at this point; this site is for you guys, let me know how you want it :).
i have turned off image upload approval. let me know of any other annoyances as i have tried to configure everything correctly but there are a lot of options in the back end and i am sure to have missed some things. also feel free to sugest any functionality you’d like included on the new site by looking for components and modules and mambots here http://extensions.joomla.org/; i can’t guarantee i will install it or if i do that it will even work correctly, but let me know if something looks interesting. thanks.

Actually that is the exact conclusion that I came to when dealing with other php applications, having learned my lesson from this board :cool:
We had automatic resizing but it got messed up when i installe the profile control panel. All in all my advisory to anyone running a phpbb forum is to not install mods for it, since it makes things a big headache when you want to do something simple like update. Eventually all the mods on this forum will go if we need to update, but for now things ar running smoothly enough :cool:
Heheh, yeah I know php is great. We will update the site with php someday in the next several months, but we have a few other things to get done before then unfortunately.
Yeah, many of the code-based websites tend to turn out kinda like that. You can spend hours on that site haha–be warned. The funniest part is I think that is just some japanese student’s school project :lol:
Don’t worry about it bro. Dreamweaver fucks up half of ’em no matter what you do, especially with such a large number of files. It’ll get fixed sooner or later. No worries. :cool:
Well between lordyuanshu forgetting to update his local templates and dreamweaver just simply not updating files even when the correct template is on hand (yes we used dreamweaver to make this site and for that I sincerely apologize), sometimes the html doesn’t come out the right way haha. When there are over 100 html files in the site as a whole its a bit difficult to check all the pages, especially since we have other projects to worry about. I will make a site bug thread and from here on I would appreciate if you guys could post any bugs in that thread, so I can fix them. Peace

I agree that Revolution seems better than Wii; however, I think they should at least pronounce it the Japanese way (Why-E) instead of the way they said in the article (We). It would not only make more sense, but would sound better as well in my opinion. Their explanations of the name seem stupid though, they must have something up their sleeves as far as marketing. If not then this may be one of the last systems we see from Nintendo haha, they aren’t doing so well lately aside from the handheld market, which PSP is threatening to take over… :(
