Also, don’t forget the Crystal RING, arguably the best accessory from the original. And it was so damn rare, but the good news is: I once got lucky in the original, and got one on my way to Zemus. Obviously, I went back to a save point after that.
As for the DS version, I’m on my second playthrough with Cecil, Rydia and Tellah trying to get oCockatrice and oGoblin. So far, no luck. Good news is: My characters are now lv 20!

It’s long, but it’s worth it, mostly for the ????’s love (You choose the name for the ????) and the SAFE TRAVEL augment. Safe travel makes it so that there will be NO random encounters! So you’ll want to give this to Cecil once you get it, since you can only get in once in your three playthroughs.

Evil masks are weak against Stop, but most time you have to dispel them first, except if you put Piercing magic to Rydia.
Got that Rainbow Pudding for the Namingway questline yet? It took me 1 WEEK even with Treasure hunt, before I got one.

Another trick to use is this: (This only works if you got double cast and omnicast on Rosa and Draw attacks on Cecil.)
When the fight starts, have Rosa cast Berserk on all Blaze-type enemies (Any dragons, they all use a blaze type except for, like, gold, silver, and thunder dragon.) and since you’re using Doublecast, use also Blink on your party. Bash away, except when your blinks are up, redo them. The same strategie can be used for Behemoths, but use Rydia’s Titan OR Bahamut, or else either he’ll absorb it, Counter it with that damn Maelstorm attack, or worse: BOTH!

EDIT: Except for the Red Dragon and Behemoth, you can also use Stop.
