Snowpeak Top
Go east through the door (away from the Snowpeak Ruins) and back in the cave. At the beginning of this cave are two Ice patches that you can now destroy with the Ball and Chain. One reveals a Poe and both of them have a torch – light the torchs to get an Orange Rupee. At this point you should almost certainly have enough for the Magic Armor.
Zora’s Domain
Warp here but go south and exit. Just southwest of here (take the lower path) and you’ll see a cave you can enter after you blow up the entrance. When you get in, use that Ball and Chain to open it up even more.
Block Puzzles, our favorite. Okay the southeast block is Block 1, the southwest block is Block 2 and the northwest block is Block 3. Push block 3 south and then push block 1 north. Take Block 2 and push it east, north, west, and finally south. Take the block it just hit, Block 3, and push that one east. Now we can take Block 1 and push it south so that Block 2 is set up to go east onto the switch. This opens the gate north.
Puzzle two. We have the same three spots – Block 1 = southeast, Block 2 = southwest and Block 3 = northwest. Take Block 1 and push it north and then Block 3 south and then east. Block 1 should go west, south and east to hit Block 3. Now push the block it hit north, west, south and east to be on the switch. Push block 2 north finally, and then east and south to have the gate open.
Last puzzle with Southeast – Block 1, Southwest Block 2 and Northwest Block 3. Take Block 1 and go north and west. Have block 2 go east, north and west so that they are all lined up. Get behind Block 3 and push it south, east, west and north to get on the other side of the rotation. Take Block 3 again now and go south, and then push Block 1 (far west block) south, east and north so it connects with Block 2. Block 2 should then be sent west, south, east and north to hit the switch. That is the final puzzle so collect your Piece of Heart it was well earned.
Hyrule Castle Town
Go to Telma’s Bar and speak with Telma about Rusl. Go to the map to hear he’s by the Sacred Grove and they’ll mark it down on your map.
You probably got some mail (I got one from the Agitha’s Bug Castle and one from Yeto.
Peak Province Snowpeak
Take the Snowpeak Warp and go up with Hylian Link to Yeto. Run into the tree and then accept his offer to race. He’s easy to beat and you should practice with him – you can learn of the key shortcut.
In the second race you race his wife Yeta. She is fast and you absolutely need to use the shortcut to beat her. You basically need a flawless race and she’ll still pass you at one point. Just keep to the shortcut and do it good and you should be able to hold on – you get a Piece of Heart for victory.
Faron Province – North Faron Woods
Teleport here and then go north and you’ll see Rusl on the left up the plateau. Speak with him about the Temple of Time and some other stuff. He then gives you a Golden Cucco to jump with. Pick it up and jump across the gap ahead and land on the branch. You’ll then see the path laid out for you.
After a few jumps you reach a spot with a Bridge – use that Gale Boomerang to get the bridge to switch and then jump on it. Switch it again and then go east and south with the Cucco. Two more jumps to make but dodge the swingings blades that are there to mess you up. The Howling Stone here is probably activated already but do so if it isn’t.
South of here is the Sacred Grove. It’s another little Skull Kid and he summons some friends. Just look for him and take him out. He runs pretty far into the grove for the first hit, and then go back a little and you’ll see an area you can get to through water (under a waterfall) and if you go this way you find a Poe Soul. To hit the Skull Kid the next two times you need the Bow and Arrow and look around – he’s elevated both times and on the third hit you’ll have to climb up to that area that’s block off by a tree stump – look to your right and up and you’ll see the Skull Kid at the top of the trees. Shoot him and he runs away to the same stone grove you fought him in before. Kill him with your arrows and he’ll tell you of a secret place.
When Skull Kid opens it up, follow it. You’ll see a boulder facing north – push it to open your way in. Jump down and to your right and go through the tunnel (the block you pushed will allow you to get back up) and then you can see the Male Snail on the ceiling here. Gale Boomerang it down and pick it up. Go north all the way and there will be a poe and you can put in the Master Sword where you found it. A door opens and you take the Master Sword back.
Return back to where you saw the door open but first Shadow Beings will intercept you – defeat them and you have your warp. Take that door and you’ll be transported to the Temple of Time. Don’t be hasty – take a quick right and look south to see the last bug, the Female Snail.
Hyrule Castle Town
Leave Temple of Time for a quick trip to Agitha’s to give her the rest of the bugs (all 24 with those two Snails). Despite the rupees she already gives you, you’re also going to get the Giant Wallet for holding a massive 1000 rupees.
Sacred Grove
Teleport here and go west – you’ll be where you fought the skull kid multiple times. Blow up the center area and get the poe that you just revealed. After this be Wolf Link and dig in the center to find a cave. Kill all the Deku Babas inside including the one on the ceiling in the back and you’ll acquire a Piece of Heart.
Temple of Time
Now Warp back here and enter as the Hylian Link. At the back you can insert the Master Sword. This makes a light bridge appear and Ooccoo is here also.
In the following room you’ll see a statue ahead and a door next to it. Midna mentions how strange it is not to have another statue on the other side. If you use your Senses you’ll see that there was a statue there before. To continue on, go to the southeast a bit and pick up the dark statue – bring this to the opposite end and place it on the switch to open a path going southwest. As you climb up the stairs you get to the very south – however don’t go through there and instead continue past down the east stairs. Light the torches you see and grab the treasure for a Small Key. Head back and go south to see Ooccoo – he again joins you on your adventure. Go through the locked door now.
In this room, kill the Cyclops Skulltula and then get a pot and put it on the center switch – gates open and you’ll have to kill another Cyclops Skulltula. The south chest has some arrows for you and then to continue you’re going to need to go past the east gate and then turn back and shoot the pot with an arrow. The gates will switch and the one leading to that room will close and the one further east opens.
As you run up the stairs you’ll encounter a Lizalfos. Further up the stairs is a room with three Lizalfos’. Try to separate them and not draw all of their attention towards you. There is also a flying thing that may pester you and an Armos Knight that has a high defense. It’ll go nuts and explode once it’s about to die. The Armos Knight reveals the Temple of Time Dungeon Map. Now that things have slowed down grab the Red Rupee in the south chest and a pot next to it. Bring the pot to the north switch and do the same with the other pot – once the two switches have something on them the gates will open.
In this next area go to the south and kill the three Lizalfos Enemies and then go up the stairs. You’ll have to use the Spinner for a bit to get across the broken path. When you get to the top turn south and go to the center. Youre going to want to get the statue on the east path here but avoid those spikes you see. Place the statue onto a switch in the south and then enter the very middle part of this area through the north opening. You’ll see a lever you can push and if you’re looking south at it you’ll want to push it counter-clockwise to move the platform down a level. Grab the dark statue to the west and then set it near the center platform so that it travels back up with you when you push the level clockwise. Set this second statue on the second switch to reveal a platform. You’ll notice you can’t get up there. Well, the trick is to set the statue down and then run on the platform in the 1 second it stays low after you place the statue down. Once you’re up here, go through the south door.
In this room you’ll have to fight two more Armos Knights – use the Backslice or a bomb arrow or something to attack them from behind to damage them. On the west part of the room a Small Key emerges after you defeat them. Get the red rupee in the far south and return.
In this center area with the elevator, go through the locked north door. Hit the Green Crystal and it’ll turn red. Kill the Beamos in front of you with an arrow and then go in the next room and shoot the crystal through the hole – the Crystal will be Green now and the west door is opening, revealing a Beamos and a new path. Arrow the Beamos and go west to get the Compass. Leave this little area and go up to the ring just near you. Shoot the crystal so that it is Red and then you can continue further west.
Kill some Lizalfos and you will be in a new area. Shoot the crystal in the northwest and you’ll open a passage with another Lizalfos and a Dinofols. This jerks are some of the toughest enemies in the entire game. They block lots of stuff and you’ll need to get them in the middle of their attacks or you’ll have to be quick and get behind them. Helm Splitter is the best though. After you get rid of him, shoot the Crystal again to go further south and fight another Dinofols. Same strategy – Helm Splitter, and then shoot the crystal again to finish south through a door.
In this room you have to defeat about 3 or 4 Cyclops Skulltulas and many Mini Skulltulas and you’ll know you killed all of your enemies when you get a purple rupee treasure. Take the north stair when you’re ready to a scale – you’ll notice that when Link steps on it it’ll go down.
Grab the statue and throw it onto the other scale so that you’re even – so basically Link = 2 statues. Now throw one of the statues back onto the first one once you jump on the second, and then just jump out. Go through the door.
Go east right away but watch for the spikes. You’ll fight three Lizalfos at the top that may prove difficult. Run south past a blade for a Small Key. Go northeast from here now and watch those rolling spikes. A statue is here fortunately, and if you place it on the switch nearby the electrocution field yields. Past this and you’ll have a ton of Tiny Skulltulas to kill and then two Armos Knights. The Armos Knights will open a gate after you defeat them and you get a purple rupee for clearing the area. Go west through the locked door now.
Dark Nut is the boss here. He is heavily armored – I’m sure you don’t need me to tell you that. Because of this it’s hard to get attacks on him even from behind – Backslice is helpful and so it attacking in mid-sidejump. When you do catch him off guard just start wailing away fast – using a jump attack will be too slow and he’ll guard by that time likely.
After you take all of his armor off a new battle occurs. He’s even harder to hit now and you have to dodge his attack before you can go at him – he does have less health so you only need a few combos. For defeating him you will get the Dominion Rod.
Now you get to use the Dominion Rod. Go outside of the alcove and shoot the statue above where the treasure is. You’ll have control of it and it’ll move as you do. Return east and then you’ll see a shining spot – get this statue on this spot and it’ll be transported somewhere. Exit out east.
The guard is here again. Take control of it once more and have it face the gate east – it’ll destroy the gate. Jump down and have it kill the Armos Knights – make sure they don’t explode on you though. Take the guardian and face him south and release control. Go north and regain control of him and step south onto the switch – your goal is to move south quick to get the statue on the elevated platform here.
So we can take the statue south down the stairs now. You see the electrical current? You’ll want to stay far away from the statue so that it can run to the switch and open it for you. Have it destroy the rolling spike barriers and then run to the west (down the stairs).
In this area have the statue destroy all the spike barriers and then the Beamos Statue – then have it go to the very south part. Now use the Dominion Rod to take control over one of the small dark statues on the west / east parts of the area. Move this statue onto the Beamos switch and then the path will rise for your Big Statue. Take control of your Big statue guy and move it into the Bell to get it into the next room. Take the north exit.
The statue will be just to your right so take control of it and bring it down near the scales. This part can be difficult. You need two statues and Link to equal the big guardian statue. So you’re going to want to want to throw the stone on the nearest weight to the far weight and then bring the statue on your weight. Now jump off and come back up via the stairs. Bring the big Guardian Statue on what was the far weight (now it’s the near weight) and then you’ll need to get four regular statues on the other weight so that you can get the big Guardian Statue over. Look up along the east wall to find 3 more statues (you need 2 more of them). Once its equal use the Dominion Rod from off the weights to pull the big Guardian Statue across and down the stairs to the bell for teleport. You are not to leave yet though – go back up to those weights and then you will notice you can jump on the weight near you and it still won’t go back down (cause there are four statues on the other one). Well climb on the nearby pillar and Clawshot to the spot you can see. Use the Spinner to go clockwise across and let go at the end. Further along for a Poe and a Red Rupee in the south – east is the exit.
In this small room you need to kill the two Helmasaurs and an Armos Knight. Do so and then Clawshot onto the far east wall. A Red Rupee is up here and four switches. Look up on the ledge to see a small dark statue and then use the Dominion Rod to pull it down. There are only three statues though – use a Helmasaur Helmet (Clawshot it up) and put it on the fourth switch. With something sitting on all four switches you can now get the Big Key and then go back to the last room.
Drop down and take the far west door. Run down the stairs and you’ll see the guardian on the other side of the gate. You can get the Piece of Heart in this room (it was my 15th total). Take control of the statue and move it north – then shoot the crystal. Now you can make your way to the middle area and the Statue will be by the electrical barrier. Use the Dominion Rod to get the Statue on top of the Switch and then you can go over there. Bow and Arrow the Crystal again and you can go north for the Piece of Heart.
Take the statue across (shoot the crystal when needed) and you’ll come to a door – destroy it with the statue. Continue to do this until you get to the bell to teleport the Guardian Statue, and then go through the southeast door.
You’re in the elevator room. Go to the top. Get the Guardian Statue, then go to the bottom floor with it. Kill all the Mini Skulltulas and move the Guardian Statue past the electrical field. How do you cross the electrical field though? Easy, go up a floor on the elevator and drop down. Kill the Lizalfos that litter this bottom floor. Take control of your guardian statue buddy and take him west to destroy the wall and kill a Poe. Go north with the Guardian Statue to teleport him.
Before going onward let’s get a Heart Piece. Go up the stairs and you’ll want to enter the south door (middle level of the elevator floor). You need two stone statues for the switches so you can enter. Clear this area and then go to the southwest – see the small statue on the opposite side of the fence? Take control of it and move it to the opposite end (there is a switch here). Now do the same to the other side but there isn’t a small statue up there. Change that by taking one from the center and throwing it up there (tap a fast to make sure it gets up there). With both switches down you get a Piece of Heart.
In the elevator room go to the bottom floor and go east. Clawshot your way past the first gate and then you can get the Guardian Statue out of here and to the southwest. Another gate to smash and then bring him west to the bell and then bring Link north to exit.
Bring that statue north now and into the spot where it’s been empty this entire time. The Temple of Time Door of Time will open now.
In this new area you’ll have to continue forward and jump across pits and avoid stuff. At the end is a gold gate and some small statues – throw a statue back across the pit and onto the switch. Go to the Golden Gate and kill the Cyclops Skulltula and then use the Dominion Rod to move the Statue away from the switch (so the other gold gate opens) and you can kill some more Cyclops Skulltulas and enter the main door. A fairy is in the pot nearby though.
Twilit Arachnid Armogohma
The Gohma name certainly resonates among Zelda gamers. This boss though is a joke, especially considering how far along in our journey we are.
Basically Twilit Arachnid Armogohma will use piercing lines of fire coming from it’s eye (the weak point) and will also release those mini skulltula enemies (not hard, and a more of a refreshment with heart pieces and arrows). To hurt Arachnid Armogohma, you just have to shoot it’s eye with an arrow and then go to the nearby Guardian and use the Dominion Rod to control the guardian and pretty the Dominion Rod button to attack – do this three times and you win. You can tell where the Armogohma is as it’ll be dark where it is (light everywhere else). After the third hit you’ll just have the eye and a bunch of skulltulas to deal with so attack it and you win.
Twilit Arachnid Armogohma is defeated and you have another Twilight Mirror shard. The last shard is said to be in the sky!
